Do muscles get one out of the friendzone?

Girls, let's say you know this guy who's been chasing after you. He has a number of personal qualities you find appealing, but you just don't find him physical attractive. So you dilly dally and end up putting him in the friendzone. Will him getting lean and ripped (not the super buff kind) get him out of the friendzone for you? This is considering that he has a personality you can connect with from the start, not just at the physical level.

Guys, any experience where after you put on muscle, girls who would otherwise friendzone you start to be attracted to you?

It can definitly get you out of the friendzone to some extent. Won't help in the long run if you have a shitty personality, but if you're a decent person being chiseled can help you trough womens initial screening process. In addition, having a fit body may reflect well on her (in some contexts, having a fit partner t can raise her own status) and I've found that many women respect a partner that makes an effort to stay healthy and look good to her.

After I started my fitness journed and got somewhat fit results were obvious. After 6 months I randomly met a woman who I dated in the past for a short time but who said she wasn't really interested and broke it off. To put it this way, we've now been a couple for several years. After 1 year we talked about our relationship, our past and the future when she admitted that she wasn't too attracted the first time we met. Obviously, getting fitter changed that.

I see. But when you met her again, it's not like you were topless (I assume?) or naked right? So how was she able to tell that you've abs and pecs now (apart from your shirt filling up I suppose).

And did getting ripped change things in bed? Like, the first time that she saw your muscles when you took off your shirt for sex, what is her reaction like? Did she go crazy feeling up your muscles and all?

Nope, she saw my muscle definition through my shirt. Yup changed a lot in bed, feels like she can't get enough of it (just a lot more touchy-feely in regards to my body in general), so it's a clear sign that she loves muscles.

I see! Well the reason I ask the question is because a while back I was in a similar situation to your girlfriend. There's this guy who's been chasing after me since high school senior year but I kept him in the friendzone cause even though he was a really nice and funny guy, I didn't find him physically attractive (he was all skin and bone).

After high school, he left our hometown for college while I left for another city for college. We kept in touch as friends, but I didn't see him for the next 2 years till our high school reunion during summer break.

And damn did he get ripped. He was a lot bigger in stature and his shirt was filled up nicely. Being a girl who was into muscles (especially abs), I became curious to find out what he was hiding beneath that tight shirt of his. We talked like old times at the reunion, and hung out a few times afterwards...

It wasn't long before he noticed the signs that I was now interested in him and made his move. I agreed to give it a shot and we started dating.

I still rmb the 1st time we made out at his house (his folks were away) and I tugged at his shirt to let him know I wanted it off. He smirked knowingly and took it off. Boy was it a sight to behold. His pecs were full and lean. And he had an almost 8-pack that was the tightest I've ever seen. I was shy to touch at 1st, but once I got going, I couldn't stop. His muscles felt so firm and smooth. I ended up doing more than feeling around with my hands (kissing and licking basically). It was one of the best sex I've ever had. The sight of his sweaty abs contracting as he pumped into me was enough to make me wet.

The next morning, he asked me why I agreed to go out with him after all these years. I was up front with him. I told him I didn't find him physical appealing but now that he's all lean muscle, I'm now very very attracted to him...

He smiled and told me that 1 main reason he joined football in college and started to work out seriously was cause of me (he heard from a mutual friend that I was into muscles). I was happy to hear that of course.

We've been going out for a while now. And emotional connection aside, the physical attraction between us now is so strong. Like your girlfriend, I also can't get enough of my guy's pecs and abs. I sometimes even lift his shirt off bed randomly just to feel his solid abs. He doesn't mind it 1 bit of course. Haha.

For me it wasn't really for her in the beginning as I didn't know the reason why she didn't want to continue dating after the first time we met. Me being fitter the second time around was more like a coincidence, but now that I know she really likes muscles, that provides movivation for further improvement.

Yeap. You've no idea how much of a turn on for a girl to hear that a guy works out for her. All that time and money spent at the gym. It's honestly better than any diamond a girl can get! At least for me.. Haha

Is your girlfriend like me too. Like, even outside of bed, she'll randomly lift your shirt up or put her hands beneath your shirt to feel the abs and pec muscles?

What most often puts a guy in the friend zone is a lack of spine. The guy lacks the courage of his convictions and has a lot of insecurities. He is the stereotypical 'nice guy' who is a constant shoulder to cry on but becomes like a brother rather than a love interest. He gets into a place where romantic feelings would be almost impossible, if not nauseating. No amount of physique is likely to change that.

The real question here is, do you really want a girl that says yes to this? I mean it's so shallow. You couldn't even trust her if you got into a relationship with her.

It helps yeah. I've had that happen when I went from skinny to muscular. When I got injured and lost some weight I also had the opposite happen before I gained it all back.

Since I got myself muscular I don't get put in the friendzone anymore. Girls respect me too much now to string me along. They either tell me it won't work right away or they flirt.
