Girlfriend cheated? Why does ignoring her completely drive her more crazy then anything?

Long story short, the girlfriend I should say EX lied, cheated, many things you shouldn't do in a relationship. So I dropped her, broke down once and she pulled more crap so now I am dropping her again and sticking to it. No offense but I am not looking for sappy responses I am no longer hurt by her but I would like to pardon my next line "jam it up her ass how much I don't care about her anymore." What she did was beyond scummy. So question for the ladies or even guys out there. I know for a fact when someone does something really messed up like that there is no telling them what they did wrong, they don't want to hear it. So why when you ignore a woman or man that you dated, I mean just cut her off 100% ignore every little thing they send you, does that drive them MORE INSANE then going back and forth arguing until you don't talk anymore? Curious what others think about this thanks!

too be honest, ignoring her may be driving her insane, but if you are truly over her, what will drive her more insane is if you can be there occasionally and be unaffected with any thing. if you ignore her she may still think you can't deal with her, and in her mind be getting a little ego boost, but if you talk with her occasionally, when she initiates contact, and truly are indifferent and cool with we she is up to, and if she gets bitchy upset, or anything you calmly say I don't care why are you like this...they go nuts, show her your indifferent not afraid to talk with her, of course by all means ignore her if you want to.. my girlfriend broke up with me and stated dating someone five days after, once I found out i, realized that the girl I knew was no more and really didn't care, I'm still there when she needs it, and she has now started telling me all the things she missed about me...i don't want her back at all so I just tell her, "hey its fine and over, how was your day" this of course makes her be all weird while she pretends to have a normal convo, I ask her what's wrong,...she says nothing..then I say bye...this is my little revenge. I even bring up other girls I'm interested in and encourage her to see some guys...she goes along with it lol but gets crazy shell stop soon I hope.

People don't want to hear that they're wrong, because no one ever wants to admit they are wrong.

If she is getting livid because you are ignoring her, it points out one of the reasons people decide to cheat.

They want attention. Not to say you didn't pay her attention, but for some people, what their partner provides is never enough. So they go out and create a situation for them to receive unavoidable attention.

If she is upset with your lack of response, it's because her plan didn't illicit the response she was desperately hoping for, which was probably you acting out in a fiery rage.

Believe it or not, some people rather enjoy their partner catching them in the act of something really bad, and then getting yelled at and (in some cases) disciplined for it.

Either way, I think you did the right thing here. Whether she wanted extra attention or not does not excuse the behavior, and the fact that she would act out like this speaks to a psychosis that only a psychiatrist could love.

And that's mostly the money and the fame.

Well...there are some people who jus like the attention. Even though they know they f***ed up but they don't want to admit to that person they f***ed up...they don't like the idea that your forgetting about them. They just like to have a person right under their thumb. but once they realize that they lost that control ovr you it jus drives them to get you bak even if that interest isn't there and e more. they are used to things going thr way and can't stand it that for once someone actually beat them at their own game. Its good that you decided to leave her...girls can be canniving...as well as guys...but it jus depends on the kind of person they are.

I think it drives you more insane, because you know the person is moving on. you know that there isn't a chance of you two being one again. You lose the satisfaction of knowing someone out there wants you. if she cheated, and lied. good for you. don't take her back. you don't deserve that. no one does. I know how it feels. every boyfriend I've had, has cheated on me. I hope you find someone who appreciates you.

Well if she cheated and she ceeps sending you crap change your nimber or email and theree its done.
