If a girl continues the conversation and ask questions when texting, does she like me or could it just be a friend thing?

I'm good friends with this girl but I feel like I'm friendzoned but I'm not sure. When we text she would try asking a question back to continue the conversation for example:
Me: How was your day?
Her: It was good wbu?
Me: It was great haha
Her: Did finish that paper yet
Me: yeah just finished
Her: When's your final?

From what I'm concluding is that she's me like a little brother to her. Or could it be something different?

Nah, she's definitely taking interest without any material. Guys have to deal with these kind of conversations too when we are interested in someone but they don't feel the same. However at the same token those questions lead no where. So they're weak questions, but who know if she really has an interest. If you have some interest then ask a question in return. If no then just continue the yes no answers.
