No I most definitely would not because I am a real feminist.
Most women are moving backwards to the 1950's They are trumps most enthusiastic supporter even as he insults them every day. Strict gender roles are returning, equality is not a priority as women move further and further to the right.
Are you saying there is something wrong or sexist about being a stay at home mom?
@devilman666 Not at all. most women are moving in that direction.
For the sake of argument, I think that saying strict gender roles are returning is a bit of silly thing. I'd like to start by saying that I don't know if they ever truly existed outside of statistics, as far as I know there have always been exceptions to the gender roles placed on people at any given time. Further, I don't know if the statistics on gender roles ever stopped supporting their existence, even when men aren't the sole provider they often bring in the largest amount and women often taking on the majority of household chores and child raising work. As for equality not being an issue to women on the right, to a large extent I disagree with you, but I will concede there are women like that, especially when religion is involved.
@devilman666 Actually, I was referring to the overall dynamics between men and women
I'm having my own career and so is he. My boyfriend and I don't want kids lol
I think it would be cute to have one especially nowadays because so many feminists that wanna be "Strong" and "Independent". I don't imply that girls should be forced to do it but I think it would be cute.
No. And Women can do BOTH work a job and be a mother/wife.. it's certainly possible. My mother does it. Since she works in the house (own company). Girls who say "im a housewife", want a free ride.. expect men to make a TON of money
my dad was a stay at home dad, for the first few months i was born... he wanted mom to work out of the house, while he took care of me. He was still working as well, they just sort of did different shifts. Then he became the "breadwinner" with better jobs, and mom started working in house, so she could do both. That's the way it SHOULD be. She NOR he, should be on a free ride. THEY SHOULD BOTH WORK
I think women should work no matter what because it creates her identity and makes independent and more secure if somewhat her SO leaves her
If the financial situation and other criteria allows that option, then it's the other person choice. This decision is totally dependent on him/her choice and how she/he sees his/her future
If I was a mom and could afford it I’d definitely like to be one
No. I'd get bored. I need to do something else besides house chores. For balance.
You can bake and change nappies 😛
@Pineapple_Boy after I come home from work.
I would love to be stay at home mommy! But I do not know when I want kids :o
I'd like to be able to provide a house and home to a happy family who has enough time through out their day for themselves, their work or chores and each other. Helping out around the house should be a family effort.
Girls get your lazy ass off the bed and STUDY AND WORK.
Men don't be bitches and you should be supporting women to study and work not want them a stay at home mother!!
whoa chill. This is up to personal preference, no need to take offense. If she wanta to work, so be it. But i would wanna work too.
@jeremythedrummer i didn't mean to offend anyone and especially stay a home mothers because my mom is one of them an I love her so.
I just don't like women who pick the easy way nor the men who support them! I know everybody has the right to choose but come on its 2018! Everybody should study and work hard and be aiming to be great
Reading some comments made me sick. I can't believe that now some people still believe that women should only stay a home and do the housework.
Such a shame
I mean, its up to personal preference yea? And also that i thought you were offended by the girls who wanted to be stay-home moms😂
But yea people should do whatever suits their preference
@jeremythedrummer im not offended I just want to encourage girls to chase their dreams and make something out of their life and get their own money! Im not offended by stay at home mother my mom is one like I said earlier and she always push me to study and be independent cause she knows that it sucks after a few years.
Well, true. We live in 2018. there's a lot out there to do besides staying home
It’s a great thing to do for your kids, especially when they’re little.
I'm a full-time single parent and I work full time. It'd be nice to have the summer off when my son doesn't have school.
I would total love to be stay home mom. Just me and my child bonding. I wouldn't want my child bonding with someone else
Obviously her choice but if she wants to work and we could afford it I would totally be a stay at dad... Maybe take a part time job but yea her choice
I would love to be a stay at home mom, but I wouldn't be able to just be a stay at home wife (before we have kids), I would just be at home bored.
Nah, I don't really want her to be a stay at home wife. Sometimes I like someone to take care of my stuff, but overall, I'd want an independent wife.
It is possible for us to stay at home and still be independent. There's jobs we can do from home like I have a buisness selling Alternitive Jewelry online and at local events on some weekends.
@PinkMichae
Oh that's what you meant.
Perfectly fine for me wherever she stays. Doesn't matter if she works from home or not.
There should be a few more options here. Personally, I would leave that to her if money were not an issue.
not a mom because i dont want kids. not a wife because i dont want to be married. i just want to stay at home :/
I don’t know why but I feel like you’ll be a great mom 😊.
Ill be a stay at home dad and. ill marry you and if you get tired of me and divorce me ill get that alimony
Not sure why, but I found this adorable -- thanks for the laugh. I've never heard it put that way by a guy XD I'd be willing to finance a guy. I'm a corporate attorney and I love my job, but it also makes it harder to get everything done at home
@carpediem93 well with that kind of job it'd be perfect and you're welcome haha
Im fine with both, if she wants to do a job im fine, but i prefer her to stay at home
I have ambitions, sorry, but I can't see myself doing that.
no cuz I dont want kidz nor do i want to be a wifey so fuck that
Hell no. I would rather be working than being at home all the time.
I want to be a stay at home husband, but I do not want any babies
I want a career, and my boyfriend wants to stay home
I wouldn't want to be one because i would want to achieve success myself not with his money or anyone else’s
If we have kids, I'd be more open. If no kids, she needs to be bringing in some money. We might have kids later and that money could be used on them
I would mind being a stay at home mommy
I'm a Girly Boy.
I'm too passionate about my job but I might work part time.
After I had accomplished all my goals, yes I would not mind being a house wife.
I don't want a lazy ass bum that wants to stay at home forever as soon as a child is born
I dunno. I prefer to work. I like a balanced life so we both have a chance at staying with our kids and going to work.
I won't want to be a stay at home mom. Especially if I'm a university graduate. I'm not a feminist or anything but it's unfair if a woman spends a lot of time and effort going to school and earning a degree just to be a stay at home mom.
It's not "unfair" unless someone is forcing you.
Being Stay Home Mom Hard I seen it while father away working house wife , cooking, cleaning, possibly dealing with kids there sick. I don’t have and not having children but I have friends who do tell me work is kinda of a break.
Are there any child psychologists in the house please? If mom stays home does baby take longer to develope them there interpersonal relationship skill thingy mabobbers?
I would love to be stay at home dad. Do some freelance work at home when kids are at school.
I am 100% all for the stay at home Dads Club. There needs to be more paternity leave like in Sweden.
Helllll no. That is a boring way to live. I'd rather be out, not shut in the house with rowdy kids
I would like my wife to stay at home with the children until they go to school
It’s ideal to me if she’s stay at home wife who cooks, cleans, and raises the kids when I’m not around.
Lol, 2 dislikes, it's not like I'm fucking forcing a girl to be a stay at home wife. This is my ideal scenario, get over it.
I'd be the 1 staying home the wife can go earn the bacon but more then likely we'll both be the work from home types.
I want both of us to work. But I am fine if she's the breadwinner
I would love to stay home with the kids.
But she has to have a good salary though
Would love to but i have take care of my daughter her father doesn't
Hell no! I could see for maybe a year, but after a while, I would lose my mind
Same! Omg
My boyfriend and I choose option A. :)
Nah, i'd get bored within a couple of weeks.
If mean if your HUSBAND* could afford It? >.>
exactly :)
That’s a sh*tload of Netflix.
I wouldn't mind either way...
I'd go actually insane. I NEED stuff to do
I totally would if I could.
Yes i’d love to be full time mommy
I would like to have a part time job
I would def stay home too
That would become exhausting
In a perfect world, yes.
Children deserve a real mother, so yes.
