Personally I'm drawn to his appearance f. e. his body language, perhaps also his looks included in that. But that doesn't mean only 'good looking' guys are a so called chick magnet. When I'm out with my mom or friends sometimes mention a guy and when I turn around to look all I'm thinking is: meh average looks cool, nothing much. On the other hand my friends f. e. would be like: omg so handsome. And vice versa when I see a guy that looks good, they will be like : omg... no >_> .

Appearance is the first thing you see. Not if they have a nice car, a pet, what job they have, what their social status or home situation is like etc. But I'm sure there are women who prefer a guy in a suit f. e.

After first glance you decide if you want to chat them up. That's where shit gets real and personality starts to shine. A terrible personality can easily beat good looks. But same as with appearance, everyone has their preference for a certain type of personality.

And why want to be a chick magnet, when all you need is one woman who sticks around.

It's social status. There are many famous men who wouldn't be considered "hot" unless they were famous (I'm talking to you Post Malone). So many women call guys "hot" just because of their status. On the other hand, I know good looking guys who are working-class who get called "ugly" by most women.
