Yeah if we were really close and he didn't have a seat I'd offer it probably like " hey dude wanna sit" and kinda laugh so it's not weird or anything I probably wouldn't wrap my arms around his waist because that's too much for a guy friend that's more like what I'd do with my boyfriend if I had one
As long as you are comfortable with it I don't think it should matter what gender your friend is.

I have a rather small circle of friends so I am very comfortable with all of them, whether they are a guy friend or a girl friend. I would be comfortable with one of my guy friends sitting on my lap (even if he didn't really ask) and would probably put my arms around him just because it would be more comfortable for both of us. And just as I would with a girl friend I would offer him a seat on my lap if he didn't have another place to sit.

Scenario 1: I wouldn't really care. I might not say anything about it at all. If he was my close friend there would be no need to say anything. My lap is always open to close friends regardless of whether they are a guy or a girl. Heehee.
Scenario 2: If I felt like he was uncomfortable standing I might ask if he wanted to sit on my lap. If I was the one he was talking to I would most likely not offer for him to sit on my lap simply because having a conversation with someone who is sitting on your lap is sort of awkward. It's much nicer if you can look them in the eye.
for scenario 2: if he were trying to talk to a friend nearby or next to or nearby what would you do (instead of talking to you) or if he was just trying to join in on a group discussion?

Why did you ex sit on your lap after you broke up?
I usually never offer my lap to anyone (just as I'm not the one sitting on other people's laps), because I just don't think about it. But I think I'd just ask them if they want to sit if, I would ask anyway.
And because I'm into both genders, it wouldn't matter if it's a boy or a girl. It would mean something, if I liked them that way but not if they're just a friend. I always hug the person sitting on my lap though, it just feels weird not to when you're so close anyway.
It's a spontaneous thing to do, so I'd honestly feel a little weird if they asked. For me, it's like asking for a kiss. It's a way of saying, hey I'm just going to sit here for a while because it's nice.
So it could be at a party or just in school.
My ex and I had a good friendship. We were both very Hippie-like and were in a classroom with 9 students. Nothing sexual happened after our breakup, but we were still very close.

If I felt uncomfortable I would kick them off, whether it's because I knew they may liked me and I didn't feel the same way or it's a person who's too clingy or just annoying. It depends, but It's a way of getting closer with people, no doubt, just like a hug is stress releasing. And sexual interaction for that matter.
Overall, if you're uncomfortable with them sitting on your lap, it's okay to kick them off.

Well, I would allow anyone I enjoyed being around with for sure, but if I had to go somewhere else then I'd have to leave.
We had a good friendship and no hard feelings after our breakup. Someone might have thought it was weird because of our past, but I didn't really care and fortunately he didn't care as well. So it was all good, and I don't think we even thought about it all that much. I didn't at least.

If there was a seat left, I may think it's a little weird that they're sitting on me. But I still don't think I'd mind. I would kick them off anyway, if I felt comfortable.
I think its just about human contact. Physical contact. Some may see it in a sexual way, because it IS butt against crotch, but there's also something caring about it. Like a baby sitting on her mothers lap, maybe it's ancient and just in our nature that we like it.
I don't really know why I don't sit on other people's laps though. Maybe it's because if feel uncomfortable with being so tall, that I just don't.

Heck no! Instead it should be vice-versa but not advisable coz if you're a girl and will sit on the lap of the guy (unless it's your boyfriend of course) then they will see you as a cheap girl. You should also have a little respect to yourself. :)

Yep, it would be different if it was a close girl friend. And I don’t really know why, but it just is. What I’m more inclined to do is actually offer the seat I was originally sitting on to my guy friend, and then just sit on his lap.

Yeah I would offer my lap to him and I would be like “would you like to sit on my lap” or “you can sit on my lap if you want for a bit, I’ll tell you when my legs are about to fall off”
I mean it’s very initiate for a guy to sit on your lap especially if he has a girlfriend. But there isn’t anything wrong you’re offering a sit and it was be in a joking atmosphere so there shouldn’t be anything wrong. I have offered in the past they say for 5 mins but had to get off cause they were getting too heavy. Some people thought it was inappropriate but there if you do it as a friend and in a joking manner, you’re alright

I'm honestly personally okay with a guy friend sitting on my lap. I see nothing wrong with the situation. I'd say it would be different for a girl who were single and a girl who was in a relationship. But, I think it also depends on how your spouse portrays the situation.
For example I have more male friends than I do female because I don't get along as well with the same sex. Unfortunately my spouse is a little against me hugging another guy or touching in any form so I respect that. I'd want the same from him.
I almost feel that this would be more of a personal opinion type question that would lead to several different answers. But, I don't have a need to judge someone else's decision either :)

I wouldn't offer, but I'd let him if he asked to, I wouldn't hug him unless we were together or he was gay (purely because people assume things). Yeah they could totally do it without asking, I wouldn't mind at all; personally it wouldn't be any different than if it were a girl. No specific situation but whenever they feel like it really. And yeah I generally am very affectionate and comfortable with this stuff so I'd welcome it; but I understand some people could feel uncomfortable in this situation. Hope this helped

I would pay my lap if I was extremely comfortable with him, and yeah it would be okay if he sat on my lap without warning, it would make me feel like he trusted me.
I'd say yes to the play thing because I like the level of affection and trust it shows; I wouldn't find it weird at all.
By me saying that I'd welcome it, I mean that I'd engage with them whilst they were on my lap so they felt comfortable enough to do it again, and that it wouldn't make me feel weird or uncomfortable since I feel reassured by the closeness of someone being on my lap. (Also ask as many questions as you like😄)

So lets say you were hanging out with friends and a guy friend sits on your lap (without your permission) because there are no seats left in school or wherever (in a lounging area)? Would it be ok for him to do that?
Or lets say there is a play about to start and a guy friend can't find a seat so he asks to sit on your lap. Would you say yes and why? Would you think he was weird for asking you or would you like being close to him?

Yeah it's fine for him to sit on my lap without permission, I'd say yes if there were no seats left at a play because I think I'm a nice person and would not feel uncomfortable, I would enjoy being close to him.
If I were close and he had nowhere to sit, I would pat my lap and say something like "come sit on my lap if you want".
If there were chairs but I wanted to be close to him I'd still tap my lap (more likely if I had a crush on him).
I would engage with them by maybe tickling or hugging (if I fancied him) or just by making eye contact and talking to him.
And yes they are allowed to sit on my lap any time without permission. :)
If I were talking to a friend and he sits on my lap I'd be fine with it, and I'd try and include him in the conversation.
I'd feel trusted because there is a lot of physical contact when someone is on my lap so I'd feel like they felt comfortable with me. (Also yeah ig is a good idea)

No i won't let no one sit on my lap because I'm not a chair. No females or males on my lap. And a guy did that before and i didn't like it i told him to get off.

1. You are sitting with friends talking or whatever there are no more seats left and they guy friend sits on your lap without permission? Would you be ok with this and what would you do or say? Would you find it weird?
2. You are also sitting with friends talking or whatever and you see your guy friend standing near you or a couple feet away and there are not seats left? What would you do? (he could be talking you but he is standing) What would you do or say in this scenario?
