My boyfriend went on short vacation without telling me then I found out he was with "female friend"?

My boyfriend whom I have been together little more than half year lost in touch for 4 days. I worried if something bad happened to him. 5th day since I haven't spoken to him, he texeted me saying he went on vacation. He told me he needed to get away from. I thought since I have seen him every weekend, so he couldn’t breathe. I let it go. Then the following weekend, when I saw him, all of a sudden, he told me he went to one of the Caribbean islands with his" female friend". I have been telling him I didn't want to go beach because beach is beach. Instead we booked hiking trip 3 months ago, however, he canceled the day before departure date. He told me he would pay for the cancellation fee, and I insisted not to get it. Since I had such a sore memory, I changed my mind and told him I would like to go beach vacation with him. Two weeks later I told him that, he went on the vacation without telling me. When we talked about the trip, I thanked him being honest with me because I still didn’t think he cheated on me. Am I too nice to this guy? Is it better to move on?
