She is a friend of mine but she's not a close friend more like a casual acquaintance so If I'm correct I shouldn't in the friend category. She said "hey sexy" out of the blue and she never said that before. I just want to know if I'm reading to much into it.

It's just her being friendly, trust me it most likely isn't anything more than that. My friend was into this chick a while back and he took that sign as a hint that she liked him back, and he majorly F***'d that friendship up because of it.
