Well, yeah, I agree with someone ending their own life if they want to, as well. Problem is that all of these statements fail to hold those who made immoral acts accountable for their actions.
When people were able to get away with killing others in society, we implemented laws to stop that. We didn't just say, "hey, that's life..." we did something about it. Simply put, if someone does anything wrong, as a society we must rectify it. If we do nothing to hold those who commit immoral acts accountable, whether it be online or offline, then immorality will perpetuate.
So as much as I agree that someone can off themselves whenever they want, it's ridiculous to not even bother to bring about change in society, when it is change that is so desperately needed to save others.

In the US, the first amendment protects people's right to talk down to other people. Well, that's fine. Words only hurt if you let them, and there are a zillion different ways to block and ban people who you don't want commenting on your social media. It's up to you to manage online hate on the internet. Not anyone else. You are your own first and last line of defense.
I agree with your general point, but it fails to acknowledge what is right and what is wrong. Of course it isn't against the law to talk badly about a slutty pic. That'd be ridiculous. Nonetheless, is it right or is it wrong? That's what I'm concerned about. It's one thing to criticize and it's another thing to insult. I believe criticism is positive, as it brings about a learning opportunity. Insults, on the other hand, bring nothing positive to the table, as far as I see. Only negatives. So if that is the case, why then should immoral acts be ignored? I'm not saying we should have an FBI investigation over it, but simply have some discussion on why it benefits our society to allow immoral acts, regardless of how insignificant, to come to pass.

There are block and ignore functions that solve that problem with a mouse click. Whether or not it is right or wrong isn't relevant. I do not control those people. They control themselves. It makes no sense for me to fret over things beyond the bounds of my control, especially something so trivial as interweb meanies. So I control what I can, my social media feed and myself. I block the trolls and don't let their words pierce my emotional shield. I get to choose whose words affect me and whose doesn't.

Or, you may be looking at it purely from a standpoint of logic and reasoning.
Organized Religion offers a sense of community. A moral framework without having to question. A purpose. Comfort in an afterlife. Feelings of unconditional love. And to some, that may also lead to a sense of superiority or righteousness.
All things that people crave, especially at a young age or in times of crisis. Organized Religion works well at exploiting vulnerabilities.
That doesn't mean it's evil. It's just a very effective tool. It's totally possible for religious doctrines to provide all of those things I mentioned without impeding science or attacking rationality or opposing viewpoints.
It's just an unfortunate circumstance that some people will use it for such.

@Red-wolf Yea I also had a lot of questions where the answer was never given, or wasn't satisfactory by any means, so I left Christianity pretty young.
But I do see where it can provide things simple Atheism cannot.
Like a community, a sense of purpose, a framework of morality, unconditional love, answers to questions you don't have to think about.
That can be appealing. It can also reform criminals.
And yes, people who only use the justification for their morals as "Because God" probably do not have a strong moral framework. But it's better than them having no moral framework at all.
But some of those benefits I mentioned earlier can drive people to do awful things, much like you have stated.
But it's not for me. I ask to many questions and enjoy higher learning too much, and religion is rarely compatible with things like organized religion.

People who believe in a higher power are just as intelligent and just as successful, if not more-so.
Most every single U. S. President has been religiously affiliated. Tons of very powerful business owners have been religious.
And many were very intelligent. A lot of previous revolutionaries who redefined our very world with their discoveries and concepts of science were religious.
When you believe that these high successful and highly intelligent people are inferior to you, you create this paradox where you're superior, but you are failing.
Atheism doesn't make you superior. It does make you more grounded in reality. It does make you more aware and curious.
But those don't translate to success.
And maybe that's been holding you back every day.

Your morals will set you on your own path, relative to your own framework of morality.
Same goes for a religious person, who can create a framework of morals based off of a lot of different philosophies present in religion.
And some of those religious philosophies probably dictate some of the moral philosophy you follow.
Religion has a huge impact on the world, and it's not going away any time soon. It is a necessity of humanity to create religion.
Religion should not impede science, of course. But it's near impossible to disprove the idea of a "Creator." And will be impossible for a long long time. (It's still easy to disprove a lot of written accounts of history)
Tying your superiority to your beliefs is not going to improve you. Until you decide you're not superior, and there are many other factors at play, you will continue to be oppressed by society.

Anyways, Atheists aren't smarter than Christians. That's your bias at play. Your IQ doesn't magically grow or drop based on your religion, or your identity. People change theisms. It's a poorly thought out argument.
I've read an article that suggests that Atheists are smarter because they can more accurately deduce their own bias, unlike theists. But ironically, you're using your own bias of Atheism and anti-theism to the table. This puts you right into the same camp as religious people in terms of problematic rationale and logic.
Yours is a tenuous argument. You want to believe that atheists are smarter because they're more scientific in their pursuits, and hold less bias. But when it comes to religion, they can be prone to those biases.
The only offense you've committed, in my eyes, is the pursuit to confirm your bias rather than think logically on why you hold that bias, and what would make your argument true.
