Started socializing with a new group of friends recently. Have only been out with them a handful of times but there is one guy in particular who I'm drawn to... He seems flirty by nature and always makes some effort to talk with me. We have flirted and I think he knows I'm interested...last time we were out he bought me a drink and we had a kiss at the end of night...Thing is I wanted more to happen than a kiss (wanted him to come back to mine) but he refused said I was beautiful but drunk and would regret it...a few days later I mailed him to apologize. He replied saying we all overdo a little at Christmas, will see you around again and chat soon... Was this a brush off or do you think he may be interested?

girl, seems like he's interested but feeling you out a bit...i wouldn't view his comment as a brushoff at all- only way to know for sure though is how he behaves now, since you're back from the holidays. I really wouldn't sweat a thing - he seems like a classy guy, and probably just wants to continue to get to know you at a certain pace. Be confident, and don't overapologize about inviting him to spend the night that one time - and don't do it again.
