Basically if this happens: I actually don't know what I would do, as much as I want to be like: But I can't risk having an assault on my record and I also don't want to go to prison and not be able to protect my girlfriend or put her in a dangerous situation. I'd probably call the police because I don't want him on the streets doing it to other people, but I'm worried that she might think less of me for not taking matters in my own hands and having the police do it for me.

I very much doubt it. See, we're expected to fight for our women, defend them and protect them, whilst being completely at their beck and call, like prize-fighting dogs on a leash, or gladiators to be tossed into the arena. But are they are expected to fight for us? Or even care about us? Hell nah. We don't mean shit to them; never have, never will. And if this happened to us, WE'D be the ones getting blamed and shamed for it, because "she wouldn't have slapped your ass if you hadn't let her do it, it's ALL YOUR FAULT, I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN." Of course, if he wanted a fight, I'd let him hit me first, then hit him back harder, rinse and repeat. I wouldn't want him to ignore what happened most definitely.

If it was a someone we knew like a superior at his work - It might put his job at risk if he tried to bring repercussions which is sad but realistic. I would want him to say to me "I'm sorry that this happened to you" and then to be very cold and minimize contact with the superior.

If it was a stranger on the street or in a night club, if we perceived them to be really dangerous then, taking into account the risks vs the benefits, I would just like some comfort from him, for him to ask me if i wanna leave and acknowledge my hurt. That would be enough for me. I don't want a punch-up, I don't want him to get hurt. I believe in being the bigger person and sometimes that means being sensible and and walking away.

If it was someone who my boyfriend could totally take on if that's what it came to then I would appreciate him yelling at the fuckhead "you're a piece of shit!" and then moving on.

Guys who slap girls on the arse like being dominant and getting what they want without objection and they like to strike down challengers aka the boyfriend of the girl whose arse he just slapped. In my opinion by the time you call the cops the dude will be gone. Although if guys really do that it is disgusting and he should at least be taught not to do that.

If I were in a situation where that happened, probably never will be, I would either be way to shocked to react or turn around and start yelling at him. Which won't do any good but I'll feel better. I wouldn't need my boyfriend to fight a dude in my behalf especially over something as minor as that. No matter how hot that would be. Its silly.
