Urgh, what's up with unconfident guys?

there's this guy, who I thought was pretty cute. he didn't talk much and was kinda awkward, so I put in a lot of effort trying to get him to talk. when he finally did open up, he. is. CRAZY. well I just mean that he's all "oh haha, guild wars is so cool lmao". he got pretty awkward and nerdy, and I wasn't that interested in him anymore. I just feel bad though cause he's asking why I'm not talking as much. what should I do?

Hey, well you wouldn't have known what he's like without getting to know him. That's the way it goes. It's normal for a lot of guys your age to be a little geeky. But it could be worse. You could have found out that he's a total jerk or something.

Sounds like he's a little confused because at first you seemed to be showing interest in him, but now you're not so much anymore. You know, it's like he has no idea why you were interested in him in the first place, so he has no idea that you don't share his interest in guild wars or whatever.

Just straight up tell him that he seems like a nice guy but you can't relate to that stuff...or something along those lines. Try to be as straight forward and specific as possible. Guys your age really are clueless.

Look past that. Guys like this are really sweet and caring. I'm one of these guys that, in school I was really shy and nervouse around girls whic gives you a kind of respect towards women.

You also have to think, this boy is in the snowball effect of. Nobody to do things with, so less social life, so even more games so even less social life, etc.

Just by talking to him he probably thinks your amazing, and chances are if you think he's cute he probably thinks the same about you. He is also probably banging his head against the wall about it. Talk to him again and if he talks about the same stuff try to steer him away with idle conversation.

But like brando says if your not interested in the subject or him you may have to tell him, but keep in mind he's probably new to this so give him a couple of chances. He's just akward.

You see, girls get their confidence because they are exposed to too many guys approching them which makes them picky over time (to select exactly what they want), but guys don't get approached unless they are "the guy" girls are looking for :)

He was probably nervous & didn't know what to say to awkwardly impress you. Basically not enough experience the way you like it. Since your not interested anymore, then just say you got a lot of work to do, and will be busy until further notice.

Just tell him you aren't interested, if you aren't. Some people don't act like they appear they would. That's something I've experienced with people lol. Apparently I have a confusing image to people. But don't lead this guy around or confuse him, just be upfront with him.

He was reserved in the start because he knew people don't like hearing about guild wars. You've got to like him for what he is lady. You're too materialistic for my money going for his looks or whatever in the start.

well he had a lot of friends too, and seemed to get along with more of the popular kids. I guess I just assumed that he was a fun guy who needed a little bit of pushing.

yeah, I guess I should try that. I just find it weird how a guy could know so much about coming up with the right battle plan but nothing about that lesson we've had for that past week. thanks :)
