Is it strange that I'm 19, in college and I don't like partying?

I LOVE to dance... I've been to parties and I like the dancing aspect of it but I get a little anxious because the parties in clubs and other spaces are usually (always) tightly packed and I have some personal space issues... Also when I'm at the parties the smoke from the cigarettes and blunts give me a sinus headache so bad that it turns into a migraine of sorts and by then I don't even feel like shaking my groove thing anymore... Also, I don't think I dance like all the other girls. They shake their butts in the air and I prefer to stay um...vertical when I dance. Am I a complete weirdo?

if you are then I am too. I'm 18 and a freshman in college, and I swear it feels like I am the only person who doesn't go to parties. I don't drink or smoke, and honestly I have no interest in being around it. I just try to find other people who don't party, or don't party much and I hang out with them. there is usually stuff to do in college other than party, go out to a late dinner with friends, see what movies and concerts and stuff are going on at your school, or go to the gym and work out. you should also look into if your school has a dance team/club since you like to dance :)

Personally, I'd rather spend the night with my friends playing video games/talking to each other/playing boarding games and acting like complete retards (or being alone at home reading a nice book), than being in crowded places full of alcohol, loud sh*tty music and people trying to hook up with each other.I always avoid being in parties, clubs or bars.They are just not for me.

Lol, yeah I generally prefer to stay vertical as well rather than at a 90 degree angle haha. It's not weird, you're just interested in different things.

Its not strange to me but it is to most college students. Partying is overrated. I really hate the dancing that people do at clubs. I'd rather slow dance. I hate the music there. I also can't stand the smoking and I hate seeing women drinking alcohol because it makes me sick to my stomach. So I always avoid party's whenever I'm invited to go.
