How do you tell if a smile from a girl is flirty or friendly?

I've always had trouble distinguishing a flirty smile from a friendly smile. the only thing I have come up with is that there is a certain feeling to a flirty smile. However I sometimes get what seems to be flirty smiles from girls who I know are in a relationship. for example there is a teller at the bank I go to who smiles in a way that it feels like it is flirty. one time I typed her name into facebook (I know it's bad) and her profile pic was a pic of her with a man. so I figured she was just being friendly. Then today I went to her to make a banking transaction and again she smiled in a way that seemed flirty. It's very confusing. I guess I want to know how you can tell the difference between a flirty smile and a friendly smile? also what are some other hints that a girl likes you?

From me personally, I love smiling. I know what you mean about the "feeling" of a smile being flirty. Its weird and I haven't quite figured that out. Could it possibly be just your emotions sending a message ( a surge of attraction so to speak). I smile all the time. My flirty smiles are just the same as my normal smile. haha! it never changes. I guess you can tell if its flirty through her demeanor. Like, if I'm having a bad day I always try to play it off and smile it out. But some people, the ones who know me, can tell that's somethings wrong. Try being flirty back and see if you get a good/bad reaction. if its good then you know the were flirting with you.

To tell if a girl likes you:

Body language is the best way. Because all girls have different personalities. Some shy, some not. shy girls may not be bold enough to flirt, while Non-shy girls may just be natural flirts and make a lot of guys think she is interested un-intentionally.

You can google up flirty body language. Its helpful. People just tend to have unconscious movements/ behavior with their bodies when they're attracted to someone. it can't be helped.

I'm friendly and try to smile at everyone. I'm sure it's gotten misconcrewd before. If a girl try to talk to you and seems to remember things about you that might be a hint. If she asks or hints to you two hanging out espeicially alone is a hint. Most of the time thoug take it as just a friendly smile then if it's something more and you like them back it'll be a pleasent suprise.

Well when I give a flirty smiles I look away for a second then look back whre as if I am just being friendly I will just make eye contact and not have any other body language to it.
