Do girls ever realize they made a mistake, but don't act on it?

When they dump a guy, the guy cuts all contact with them but see's them at least once a week, can the girl realize that she had made a mistake with the break-up, but she is too proud to say anything about it? (The guy isn't going to say anything about getting back together as he may have already tried shortly after the break-up, such as 2 days and we've been broken up 5 weeks)

Yes, but maybe she's shy and doesn't understand the situation fully. Maybe she thinks you will make the first move and that's what she's waiting for. ? I am in a situation right now that I feel like I just let my man go for NO reason, and I regret it VERY much. It makes me very upset thinking about it, but I still am too stubborn to call and/or approach him. I find it easy to text, but he has gone no contact with the texting...

but I tried 2 days after the break-up and she wasn't interested...i don't want to push her further away, it appears she has moved on, because I delelted her off facebook a few weeks after we split and re-added her 2 weeks later, she never noticed I had deleted her. But she acts upset/distant around me

What did you say 2 days after the break up? Who initiated the break up? If you don't want to push her further away I would say to go NC for a while and let things calm down. And as for the facebook stuff, I'm almost positive she noticed, but didn't want to make it seemed like she 'cared'...girls are good at that...I ended up deleting my fb account all together because I couldn't handle all the non sense.

she initiated the break-up. 2 days later I went to her house and pretty much recited a speech. I was just telling her that I was sorry for whatever it was I did wrong and that I really cared about her, we could work something out and stuff like that, she didn't seem to interested though but looked a little down.

If she doesn't seem interested you need to spark her interest by not talking to her and making her wonder...a girl always wants what they can't have, go figure. If that doesn't work, try making another move, just one last attempt to smooth things over.
