How do you get over being dumped for being insecure?

I liked this girl for 6 months, she was amazing in my eyes, I finally got to know her and asked her out. We dated for 2 months and she dumped me for being too clingy. 6 weeks later she hasn't tried contacting me at all, I've been hating on her thinking she is a terrible person and removed her from my life. I realize now that she dumped me because I had insecurities. Whether it be her not returning my calls, texting me back, taking a long time to reply on facebook chat or not wanting to catch up with me, I pushed her away. It's been 6 weeks like I said before, I still have feelings for her but she has moved on - she is pursuing another guy. I feel horrible now, that it was all my fault because of those stupid childish insecurities and that I could still have the one I love in my arms if I had just though about what I was doing. How are you meant to get over something like this?

It hurts in the beginning, but then you slowly start to realize she was not the one for you, but instead revealed some things about yourself. You should just be thankful for that. Some people go through life and never have people who are honest with them or say things to their face. So, she did you a favor and helped you grow.

Now, the fact that you loved her, you love that she showed you something, but she wasn't the one. You guys weren't meant to be together, because then you would have been together. Trust the process. Life is meant to be explored, not just stopped when one person or the other think it is more convenient for them. I hope this made some sense to you :) Good luck

yes it did, its just hard to let go because we had a lot in common and I'm not going to lie...it sounds stupid it really does because we didn't date for long but I thought she was the one. haha

Learn from your mistakes. Learn that you'll never know in 2 weeks or 2 months if "she's the one". Learn there is no "one". Learn how to recognise the signs in yourself, when you're feeling clingy and insecure. Learn you don't have to act on those feelings, or verbalise them. Then find a new girl to practice on.

don't worry, your on the right path. It might just take a little longer but at least your laughing and having good times without her. And you realize that she is not right for you so at least you are not living in false hope. Just keep doing what your doing and eventually you will stop missing her.

Don't have any contact with her I.e.: delete her from Facebook. Keep yourself busy, work out, that's what I do in a break up and works fer me
