I was chatting to this girl who I hardly know...She was maintaining eye contact but she looked in deep thought while maintaining eye contact with me...She was also twirling her hair while doing that...What she thinking..She wasn't looking around.

Ok there are certain sign that girls give to tell you she's either not into you or she is. I believe this girl was both. Think about the conversation you two were having. She was keeping eye contact with you, which could mean that she was generally attracted to you or that she was self conscious of what she was doing and did not want to look away out of respect. Twirling of the hair could be a habit for hers. You can not look to deep into that because I've known a few people who do it all the time. If the conversation was interesting she could have been pondering on the subject or she might have been bored and might have done it as a habit. Was she responding correctly to your side of the conversation? I think she might actually been into you and not the conversation. It all has to do with the subject. Next time you talk to her pay attention to how she acts around you. The little things tell you a lot.

I love playing around with my hair, but it's mostly an "I wonder how my hair looks right now", so by grabbing a strand I (think) I'm somehow fixing it.

Sometimes though, they do it as a flirting thing. It's kind of sexy.
