If it's someone you intend to meet, it's not in your best interest to use a filter. If I were meeting someone for the first time, and had seen her photos, I'd be expecting a certain accuracy in what they portrayed. If it was bullshit, I'm turning around and leaving. If you're never going to meet, yeah it may be fake but, what difference does it make?
It screams insecurity/immaturity. I’ve never seen a girl with a filter and saw her as a “woman”. There’s exceptions like black and white filters or if she uses them every now and then for fun. But girls who use them constantly seem immature to me.
Most of the time filter pics are not flattering / not beautiful as the originals. doesn't matter if u have acne or scars. Seeing those are way better than a overdid snapchat filter.
It can be fun. If they aren't trying to fool people then I'm okay with it. Although it can be dangerous if they're already self-conscious, It's only annoying if I actually wanna see what the person looks like. If there's no need, then I don't mind.
It's good that people use filters. I can probably always spot it, and it shows how insecure they are. What do you think I would go for? The girl with a fake smile and filters, or the one with defects but a real smile and confidence?
It depends, if you're trying to trick a guy with them thenit's bad, but for a selfie to post on some outlet I think it's okay. As long as it's not trying to trick somebody into thinking you look different so they'll date you, its okay.
Pretty obvious. Colors look smother and more blended. Colors look to fake or vibrant. It is pretty obvious considering girls are too afraid not to use then
Why not show unfiltered pictures, can you filter your face/body in real life? I'm not this shallow but if a guy sees a picture of a girl (like say on a dating site) and she's a 10 but after meeting in person she's a (lets say) 5, he's gone cause she doesn't look like her filtered picture
I would first say take care of yourself ( your dark circles acne etc. ) and you wouldn’t have to rely on filters most of the time because i bet if you did you would look 10x better naturally
Filters help with a bit of self esteem. The girl in the post is already pretty, but I understand we have little flaws that we’re afraid people will notice. So filtering can fix that a bit.
Its hard to say.. I mean I would like to not be decieved but really, makeup has been mainstream for so long now and it's sort of the same in a way. How could I judge?
both, i mean... it depends the type of filter. if it makes your eyes bigger, face smaller, yeah its fake. if its just like a color change its not really fake
Pretty damn cute either way. I think a lost of -participants would do better with a filter for their mouth- I'm sure there are plenty that think that of me- than their pics

Can you check your private messages please?
Why?
Want to ask you a question in private
No i can't sorry
That’s rude
How is that rude

Rather have natural. How would you feel if guys only posted modified photos?
How can you tell if a girl uses a filter?
Pretty obvious. Colors look smother and more blended. Colors look to fake or vibrant. It is pretty obvious considering girls are too afraid not to use then

They’re fun on occasion but can be annoying if there are NO natural pics at all

Except that it's sort of effortless and doesn't work IRL.
I thought I was meeting the wrong person...
Since I am not dating them... whatever...
I don't like the fakeness
It's 2020. Why aren't you using filters these days. It's completely normal.
Isn’t it a bit fake? Not many girls have super clear skin and bright eyes
If you feel better about your image then go for it. Women wear makeup to cover their imperfections. It's totally fine.
Makeup and filters are completely different 😂
From what you're explaining it's not. "Not many girls have clear faces and bright eyes" 2 things you can do with makeup.
Those Snapchat filters are about the stupidest things I've seen.
Why?
Because they make people look fake and sometimes not human. I saw one where the dudes head looked like a 🦐 shrimp. That's fucking retarded.
Do you think the girl in the picture looks Stunning without filter?
Stunning isn't a word I would apply to either. Guys are attracted to girls who are secure enough with themselves to not doctor up their pics.
both, i mean... it depends the type of filter. if it makes your eyes bigger, face smaller, yeah its fake. if its just like a color change its not really fake

Filters are done as long as there are also pictures without! Filters are just fun... but don’t trust a girl who has no natural pics
Filters can't make ugly girls attractive. It can only make already attractive girls more attractive.
Do you think the girl in this pic is attractive?
She's okay, before and after.
Just okay? Not stunning?
No, not to me, personally.
Can I send you a private message?
Sure
It won’t let me unless you follow me back
It's alright, as long as it's not done to the point that they look like they got run over by a floor polisher.
