Do you get mad when someone is late for a date?

How would you react if a guy/girl was late to meet you for over 30 minutes?

Is this considered a usual thing to go through?

...I think it's incredibly rude and shows disrespect.

My boyfriend used to ALWAYS be late for our dates. Even when he's supposed to pick me up.

He was once over an hour late (but I was sitting with a friend so I didn't leave)

At first it wasn't so bad. I mean I used to wait because I just wanted to see him so bad.

But then it just got too annoying and irritating!

I found that the best time to leave is the second he walks in the door. Let him see you sitting there sipping on a drink or something and when he's walking towards you simply get up and walk out.

With a smile on your face (a "f*** you" kind of smile. you know?)

Just let him know how irritating it is.

Teach him a lesson, like with the F***-You smile... Even stand him up if you have to!

Over 30 minutes? If he didn't text me or something to let me know he was going to be that late, yeah, I'd be a little mad. I don't like waiting on people if they don't have a good reason :P

It's just a bad way to start a date. I'd try to just forget it and enjoy myself anyway, but it's hard to shake that annoyed feeling.

I wait 20minutes and if he is late I feel it is very disrespectful. If he calls and says something came up be there in... such and such time then I let it go (as long as he shows up in that time) But if you are just starting to date someone and they show up late without a phone call, then I wouldn't see him again.

If they're gonna be late, they better call me to tell me where they are and why they are showing up late. If I'm already there, and they call me to inform me of how long they'll take to get there, I might wait. I wouldn't mind waiting 30 minutes to an hour for someone who had a good reason to be late, but I would not wait if they didn't even bother to call me telling me they would be late.

Also, if it's something that keeps happening again and again, I either just stop going out with that person, or show up 1 hour after the arranged time.

Well let's say you get asked out somewhere, to be there 9:00pm. The guy will most likely have your number. Now let's say you get there at 8:55pm. At 9:02pm the guy calls you, and apologizes for not being there yet, but that he'll be arriving in 10-15 minutes, and it's the first time this is happening. If you still wouldn't wait for him, then you need to open your heart a little and understand that sh*t happens. I'd agree with you if this kept happening, or if he showed up late without calling.

Not just a date- even if a friend is late. I'm so punctual so I really go crazy & give hints to the other person that I like people to respect that.
