Why hasn't he asked me to be his girlfriend yet? And what should I do?

Well I've known this guy for 3 months now... He broke up with his girlfriend a month ago and my boyfriend and I broke up 3 weeks ago.. We've been talking or awhile now an have been talking more since I'm single. we've also hung out a few times and we've had sex already. I old him that I do want to get to know him better and he said he really does too. I asked him how are we gonna know if this is going anywhere an he told me that he didn't really want a girlfriend right now Because of where he's gonna be the next few years... But he said that who knows we might just click and might as well try because if you don't nothing will come of it. So I've told him that I like him many times and we've been hanging out a lot... Supper movies etc.. And he drove me home from school all of this week. He's also said he likes me. But I don't know why he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet. I'm at the point where I want him to myself and being his girlfriend would be the answer. Its been about a week or 2 since I've talked to him bout relationship stuff. I don't know What to do? Any ideas? How long should I wait?

I'm in the same situation...(I'm a girl even though my profile says I'm a guy, I didn't understand the signs while registering)...The most that I can make out of it is that he is not ready for a committment just yet...Maybe he needs to get to know you better...or there could be something that you could to glue him to you and it usually starts with the physical...make yourself as attractive as possible without making it look obvious...I noticed this works...Also, try to be casual about everything don't let him know that you want him to ask you out and I've noticed that works too because if you pull away without be obvious then he will push the relationship forward but MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE DRESSING REALLY GOOD AND LOOK AS GOOD AS YOU CAN AROUND HIM WITHOUT BEING OBVIOUS ABOUT IT...I don't know why guys like girls who don't push a relationship forward but that is how they are...

Also, always make it look like you have a life outside of him and that you're a lot of fun! That will get him too

I didn't ask my former-gf to be my girlfriend. I had no idea there was such a freakish formality to the whole thing. Then again, she has mental problems and she probably had to actually hear the question for it to be real or something (either that or she was one of those fake artsy hipsters who just though "oh well, its real love with this other guy!"...ahem...sorry)

My point is, he may not really understand there to be a formality to the whole thing. Just ask if you two are in a relationship or ask what your status is just so you can be clear. Give a direct question and expect a direct answer. Guys are a lot simpler than you think.

He hasn't asked you because he doesn't have to. He told you he didn't want a girlfriend but you had sex with him anyway. You have entered the "Friend with Benefits" zone.

We still hangout and don't have sex also.. Go out for dinners snd he pays etc. And he said that he wants to get to know me so how does that make us friends with benifits?

why would he do that? your the girl, you care about the title and stuff, he probably couldn't care less. if you want it you have to ask for it cause really he has no incentives to ask you...
