Will the single mother be replaced by the lesbian mother?

In the 70-90s we saw the rise of the single mother. Recently we've seen it been glorified, in the late 90s with tupac's song Dear mama.

And in most sitcoms, children's shows like Sweet Life of Zach and Cody.
That was when homosexuality was taboo. Since being a single parent is hard, the question is if lesbianism will be the option of the future post-divorce.

Who can tell with society these days. And yeah being a single mom is hard but that doesn't mean we absolutely have to have someone to help us with parenting.

Yeah, you can raise one on your own, but it far from ideal. That chances of your kid becoming a statistic is just significantly higher growing up with just a mom, than a two parent household. That's why I hung on to my family as long as I could, no matter how much I was suffering I did not want my kids to be disadvantaged. So I sacrificed for them and it was hard, really hard.

Yep that's very true. And I sacrificed for mine as well but it doesn't work when it's only one who wants it. Sometimes we don't have a choice. I've been worried about it but honestly I think that it does end up effecting them in some way when people do stay together. They can feel the energy and read the room. And I really think that it all depends on how the single parent is effected. Some feel resentful for having to be a single parent and the kids feel that. Either way you sacrifice but you need to not let either effect you or your mindset. Took me awhile to see that sadly. But I understand and commend you on sacrificing. Just remember that your kids need you to be at the top of your game and happy as well. You're a good dad.

God, I hope not. Single mothers (like mine) are amazing individuals. Truly awe inspiring for the way they work and spend their time. That being said, a million years of traditional man-woman relationships can't be wrong. I'm not denying anyone's humanity, it is just clear to me that society and children are better off with both male and female influences. Furthermore, it is just for me, but kids are the only reason for marriage - which terrifies me. Men who intentionally hurt women for no reason should be killed. Up til that point, relationship are a lot of work - much more than one might think.

even if two single mothers decided to live together and raise their children together under one roof for mutual support, (pretty smart idea maybe) doing so would not necessitate being lesbians... being lesbians or hetero has nothing to do with it directly. It could be a relationship like sisterhood.
