Am I completely wrong or is my friend rude?

Apparently a year ago I promised to pay her phone bill. Well now it's been over a year and I'm beginning to regret it and starting to stick up for myself. Now she's mad at me because I apparently "promised" I legit do everything for this girl and this how she talks to me. Am I wrong?

No, you are right to do that, you are her friend not her mother. She is clearly ungrateful for all the time you have paid for it. The fact that she turned on you this way from not being able to pay it proves how bad of a person she was. You should tell her just for that you will need her to pay back the months you did pay.

For starters you should never promise to pay anyone’s bill unless you are at dinner & you are just being nice & you pick up the check. On the other hand don’t pay a dime & if you lose your friend over the deal your friend was never a friend at all.

Rude but we dont know her story. I can't opine if i dont know the whole story or her side story. What if you were just calm and cool answerimg because u already were planing to take screenshots to expose her and make her look like the bad. So i dont know. I hate exposing screenshots from private talks.
