Modern women is a little too vague and broad.
I think modern women are the most empowered in history.
Changing acceptable norms, that needs to be done, needed for women to speak up. They were initially called out as troublemakers but that's not so much the case anymore. They're free to speak their voice and it's reverberating around the world (not in all countries though. In India a girl will still be tortured and murdered for wearing jeans ((last week)) and there are too many examples of continued oppression).
The militant femenists are loud. As long as their focus is on equality I support it. But the demonization of all men is just as wrong as the oppression of women or any people group.

I guess, rephrase your question to narrow in on what group of women. Modern is a bit too vague.

I'm pretty sure that @EmbraceThePain doesn't mean "modern women" but rather "Modern Women." The former means "women of today" and is too broad. The latter means "career-oriented Feminist women", especially those who complain that "there's are now good men" (translation: the men they want don't want them).

They tend not to be interested in serious relationships in their 20s, preferring to focus on careers or single, party lifestyle, and then get upset when men don't want them in their 30s. Modern Women are the leash happy group of people in western culture, and are the most likely by far to be on anxiety or depression meds. But they normally blame these issues on men, or "the patriarchy."

Because if you are like me then you would be old enough to remember back in the 80s and 90s when women were much thinner and more attractive. They wore dresses and skirts and were more feminine.
Today women think it's okay to wear sweatpants and pajama pants in public.
A whopping 70 percent of women these days are overweight.
And I know there are a lot of fat guys out there too. But you don't hear those fat guys saying things like "Real men have curves " to try to rationalize their weight problem.

Because they have earned it. They are non traditional but demand traditionalism from men, they sleep around far more, demand far more while providing very little if anything to men. They behave in non feminine ways and tell men they are pieces of shit for having any expectations on them but then have lists of expectations for men. Technology has led many young people to not develop social skills and, therefore, they are awkward and unsuccessful with members of the opposite sex. Since they are doing what all of their friends are doing - with similar results - they conclude that there must be something wrong with girls. And then they go online and complain and some other butthurt reject agrees with them and their response is validated.
