How to stop women from being scared of my appearance?

I dont want to ask any girls out, I would just like them to feel slightly less uncomfortable from my presence. Whenever im in public or at my job I get weird looks. Women I have to pass more than once will do anything in thier power to not walk near me. there's one girl at my job that hid in the bathroom until I left the area. I try my hardest to not look at them at all so they dont assume i have lecherous eyes but that doesn't seem to help. If I do accidentally meet eyes with them I look away as soon as possible while trying to be as non creepy as possible.. Im 6'2 black and kinda heavy set. I keep my beard pretty well kept and same with my hair. My hygiene is good and I wear fitted clothes. Im not sure what else I can do. I dont even want to date or start a convo, I just don't want to be branded as a creep for doing nothing.

Why do you feel they are scared to approach you? You seen, by your description, well kept and well spoken.

In person I have very bad speaking skills but I never talk to them or anyone for that matter so I dont see that as an issue. The only thing I can chalk it up to is that I am not that pleasant to look at physically.

Speaking skills is something that can be practiced. I assume you feel you like you don’t know what to say to a girl?

Yes, I try to avoid it best I can or it just turns out awkward.

Well, it was finding the right moment to start a conversation. Happened where I work while he was being discharged for care.

For me, I started by introducing myself (name). He of course told me his. I said “you have a very kind smile”. That opened to some small talk.

When I was sufficiently certain there was a little connection, I asked if he would like to get lunch sometime. He said yes! Rest is history.

So, introduce, make a casual compliment, small talk and suggest meeting.

I would keep compliment simple to smile or the like. Don’t suggest anything to date-like. For example “hey went to this great restaurant for lunch with friends, would you care to have lunch sometime” or something similar.

That worked for me and we have been together since. Please feel free to ask me any other questions. ❤️
