+1 yIgnoring women outright doesn't work (on women with self-esteem). But ignoring women strategically and at specific times works very well and it's a damn shame. It's exactly like a child. Attention is a reward. When children act out, you don't reward them with giving them your attention. When a woman can't listen or communicate maturely to you and starts acting out of line, she's being childish. Ignoring her in those circumstances can work well, but what works better is dealing with childish behavior appropriately. It works better to tell a woman why you're ignoring her in the form of asserting your boundary, so she isn't left guessing why you're acting this way. Ignoring someone who's disrespecting you is the right move, but it's passive aggressive and immature in its execution. p (that's the fine line between ignoring like an adult and ignoring like a child). I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate it if a woman ignored you for being disrespectful, but you weren't aware of being disrespectful and so it seemed like she randomly started ignoring you.
Ex: Watch your tone, you're yelling at me. It's disrespectful. You don't need to yell to get your point across, and I don't speak to people who disrespect me. I'm happy to talk to you calmly and work out issues but if you're going to be like this I have other things to do.
Her: OH HELL NAW YOU SAYIN YOU HAVE OTHER THIBGS TO DO, BLA BLA BLA
click*
You made yourself, your boundaries and the consequences of violating them very clear and you were very fair. Ignoring her would be the right thing to do. She knows exactly what's up and if she continues to try to yell at you, everyone knows the score and how disrespectful she's being. Her only choice if she doesn't want to make the problem worse by further disrespecting you is to calm down and have an adult conversation.
This isn't really a gender thing tbh, but women happen to respond to this much more powerfully than men in my opinion.00 Reply

This is one of those question you can't ask women and expect to get an accurate answer.41 Reply
Asker+1 yExactly
Unless she has real bad self esteem, the answer is no especially she's not naive. No woman's desire to be ignored not even by her own parents Paris if you don't have to play that game then you busted or elsewhere and start re-evaluating your own insecurity issues. Insecure people attract other insecure people. Anybody who stopped noticing that would naturally become interested in knowing why you suddenly start ignoring them. That's just basic psychology. That has nothing to do with it. That's just manipulating active. And I highly suggest you don't use that before other people start treating you the same way and you want to know why you get disrespected. I tell that no different to a person be if they are man or woman. Do not do that to another person.

Asker+1 yIf you saw me you would get shy because I’m so damn handsome. Women are intimidated by me and can’t even approach me
- +1 y
Uh, no. I would just ignore you and roll my eyes. I don't care if your handsome. If your a creep, your a creep. And I would have no qualms in telling it to your face. Actually, no. If anything they sense about you that you have bad intent and your energy is more and likely evil. So they are avoiding you.
Asker+1 yYou would give up your phone number so fast
- +1 y
You got demons. If this is how you respond and think of yourself, you definitely got spirits on you. If I don't like a person, I don't like them, period. Guys like yourself are not trustworthy and a problem. If you have an issue with women, please stay away from women. So no. I wouldn't get "shy", if I felt in-danger I would call my parents. Especially my father. So I tell you now. Whatever games you think that works in television, doesn't work in real life. You can and will be potentially looked at for possible harassment. And what your talking about is fear. Not intimidation. And that is not a good thing because no woman wants to be taken advantaged of. That is a great way to end up single and alone. This is why some women like myself avoid "handsome" men because you give off a creepy vibe and rather not be bothered. They are not shy they are scared. Sad you can't even read body language.
- +1 y
Buddy. I don't hand out my phone number to no one. Not even complete strangers. The heck are you talking about? Your sexual harassment tactics is going to land you in jail if you keep it up. I honestly do not play with guys like you. No tolerance whatsoever. The only "#" your going to get is me dialing either 911, my father and a case number with your name on it for sexual harassment. Others may be scared, but I have dealt with guys like you enough to call the cops. And if your a threat, do not think I won't defend myself to the death. I've been sexually harassed enough. And what your suggesting is sexual harassment. My warning to you, be if your trolling, "joking" or not, STOP. Before you want to know why you got into trouble with a woman. It is not acceptable behavior.
Asker+1 yHow am I sexually harassing you?
Asker+1 yWhat is your father gonna do?
Asker+1 yWhich culture to you belong to?
- +1 y
Which culture? This is the United States of America. Culture have nothing to do with it. It's morals, upbringing and common sense. It is wrong. You know why you think it's culture? Because in today's "culture", what's wrong is "right" and what's right is now considered "wrong". Any parent, friend, etc who loves somebody would protect them. You apparently haven't been taught properly how to respect yourself and other people. That is no way to talk or approach people.
Asker+1 yI feel like you were being very rude to me. You said I was sexually harassing you. All I said was “ if you saw me you’d give me your phone number *
+1 yDo not ignore a girl you like. Worst mistake you will end up losing a GOOD one too. If she’s smart enough to know that you actually ignored her and she doesn’t chase you she is telling you she accepts that you have read her message and decided to not reply. In the end you’ll be a stupid ass and she’ll be thinking the trash took itself out. Been there done that. I never chase. I only chase when the relationship is on. Of course that’s also a two way street. Never chase girls too. This whole chasing thing is immature. Be mature enough to begin conversations however.

Women typically want what they can't have. It's why they say "women like jerks and Nice Guys Finish Last." If you want a woman, s e thinks you're "desperate and clingy." If you don't want a woman, she thinks you're a Chad who can get anyone he wants. I've experienced both, plenty of times in real life.
My type of woman I go gaga over is tall (5'10" and up) and plus-sized/thick. Which are women many men might not be into. When I've chased after those women, I got shot down. HARD. But the type of women most men are into; petite and "conventionally attractive," like Jennifer Aniston or Anna Kendrick types, I'm not into, and when I ignore them, they are more drawn to me. Like I'm mysterious and alluring, or something. Especially black women like this. If a woman is 5'6" or under, I consider her short. And if she's under say, 160 pounds, she probably doesn't have enough curves for my liking. And what type of women do you think are usually drawn to me?
One other thing about these women: 95% of the time, they're also "bisexual," which is just f*ckin' gross! That alone is a dealbreaker, as well. So while I'm not picky about looks and would give some 5'3", 32B cup chick a chance, I definitely would not if she's practically a lesbian. I even find it offensive that lipstick lesbians are hitting on me, like I have a pussy and uterus or something. It annoys the sh*t out of me, in fact.
So yeah. The more you ignore a woman, especially a conventionally "attractive" petite woman, the more she's into you. I've lived this enough to know it's true. Too bad I can't get any non-lesbian girl over 5'6" to feel the same way about me.00 ReplyNo but
If a girl is already semi addicted to your attention she might seek you out because it's not present. Remember this one girl I dated, initially when I displayed interest and she obviously liked me she was on the fence to take action
Until my energy went towards other girls, then the fear of loss kicked in and she chased me pretty hard. We ended up getting together for a few months. Didn't last mostly due to my immaturity at the time but yea
This "ignoring" happened kinda but not really. My attention was just going elsewhere and she missed that, but she also liked me already. If a girl doesn't like you already while she still might chase that attention for a minute she'll ask herself why she did that and eventually stop
Tho that doesn't mean nothing will happen20 Reply
+1 yPretty much also treating them somewhat disrespectful not in a bad bad way but just enough for them to get a little mad and to where they want to argue with you and then you go to dismissing them some and throw a quick wink at the end to let them know you’re playing and bam you got here. Ladies don’t get mad at me for it’s a tried and true method. Same as the whole give a compliment with a diss at the end and walk away then come back around and act like you don’t see her this works best in a club or a bar especially if she has a couple friends with her
00 Reply6.1K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. No, that is not true. For me, it might sting the first 2 days at most because it is an ego thing - not because I care too much about the other person-but when those days are over, I stop giving a shit. If he messages me again, I will leave them on read.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yHahaha no. I see someone said that women with low self esteem would be the ones to do that. I have very low self esteem and due to that, i barely believe any guy is genuinely into me so i push them away. No matter how attractive i find him. Especially when a guy that’s out of my league tend to ask for my number all i think is wtf wrong with you u can do a lot better than me? Lmao. It sucks for me but trying to change it. Anyway i will never chase any guy in my life. The way i feel about him would be irrelevant. I have too much fears to be chasing.

+1 yFor me personally, I do not want to be ignored. I don’t like playing the “who’s going to text first” or the “let me not text him to see if he will text me first” games. Respond to me whenever you can, and I will do the same. I also do not like being ignored during an argument. If you would like space, I will have no problem giving that to you. However, I want a mature relationship that doesn’t play games.

I've seen mates try this, then get pissed off because the ignoring worked so well she’s dating someone else.
There is giving someone space and being overly pestering, happy medium, however ignoring is a bit like a girl ignoring a guy, you just go bugger it and chat to some other girl.00 Reply
+1 yGod no, this would not only hurt my feelings and make me think that your not interested in the slightest but it would also piss me off. Especially if your doing it on purpose to try and get me to like you.

+1 yNo. Unless she already has the hots for you. If there's no attraction, then it doesn't matter WHAT you do.
A rejection is an insult to her beauty and attraction, and women are extremely competitive when it comes to men and dating. So if she does have some interest, ignoring her can make her come on harder.
If a woman wants to get with a man she'll break every rule to do it.
If she doesn't, she'll make up a new rule every day why she can't.00 Reply Its a bad game. You will attract a woman with lol self esteem just like yourself if you plat that game

Definitely yes! You ignore us and we'll think you are not interested anymore. So we move on. But if you are just not giving us enough attention for a week or even month because of a personal or work issue, we get and understand that completely.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yNope. stop looking for tricks to get a womans attention. Most women haven't had a conversation with a man who wasn't playing an angle or acting. Just talk to her like a normal person and show your interest and be interesting and open. If she feels it too you're in. Just go in with the mindset of making a friend or learning more about someone you already find naturally interesting. Life is easier than we make it.
