What are the signs that your waitress is after your heart not your money?

I been going to my favorite bar for 3 years now and now I got a waitress who’s possibly acting a little unusual around me lately but I also sworn that she’s taken from somebody. Recently when I came in to the bar I told her I just got up and I wasn’t awake yet and she told me she likes my late night schedule or my night owl schedule I got temporary going on right now. Honestly I can’t tell if she crushing on me or she’s being friendly. I’m hoping she’s being friendly because i’m taking a break from dating and meeting people.

This is what I gathered from her behavior.

1. There been mishaps on my meals time to time but not all the time

2. She’s been going the extra mile like asking me if I wanted to a soda to go

3. It’s possible she’s been nervous around me without me noticing it but she likes coming to my table.

4. She likes my late night schedules because recently I came in after getting out of bed and shower. Yes the bar is only a few minutes down the street from me.

5. She always smiles and always friendly, sweet and etc. Also likes my confident talks like when the pandemic was bad I told her things would calm down soon.

6. It’s slightly possible she’s been keeping close proximity to me but not sure fully.

Is she crushing on me or is she being friendly.

Turns out SHE got married after she started ignoring me a few months ago.

I even had a case (when I was 20s) where a customer service woman came on to me and begged me to ask her out. I asked for her number... she would never pick up the phone. Next time I go to her shop, other employees are whispering about how I sexually harassed her. Another time a manager at a retail shop went out of her way to talk to me about her personal life. I visited the place again to make small talk and she says, "I don't get personal with customers." After those experiences, I never took customer service types seriously again. Not worth the effort.

There was the time a waitress sat at my table... interrupting my meal with another woman. Now she was probably interested but.. I couldn't be rude to the one I was with and it's probably more in stalker territory than anything.

Re: update.. Now that she's married she doesn't need tip money as bad so her true face comes out.

A lot of women love to, in their own way, flirt, but they don't have any intentions of going any farther than that. They think it's a lot of fun to flirt. Especially women who are in the service industry. Don't read too much into it. Just enjoy the attention she is giving you.

Well that has always been the confusing thing about waitresses and with other service oriented employees. They are supposed to be friendly. So more often than not, it is just being friendly. However it doesn't mean that it can't be the other way. I'm sure there are a lot of waitresses who met their S/O as customers. One thing you might try is by asking if she is on social media. If she seems eager to get to know you on social media then that could be a sign of interest. But that's only if she active on social media.

Odds are she is just being nice, nice means better tips. But you could just leave her your business card (if you have one) with your number, or give her your number. You could even leave it there with the message: "Call me! :)" if you know she cleans the table after you leave. What is the worst that can happen? You are so embarrassed you don't ever eat there again? So what?

I think she is being friendly, but you should ask to be sure. Decent looking waitresses get hit on a lot, so if you are wrong, no biggie. About a quarter of the time I eat out, I get asked if I want a soda to go, so I would not draw any inferences. If your schedule has changed, are you going when the restaurant/bar is empty? Going when it is not busy would make a waitress happier, so she is less stressed. Go ask her. Good luck!

Girls who crush on male customers, are hypocrites because then when a guy (you) asks about a waitress who MIGHT be in to you, they tell you, nah, she's just "getting money from you"

nothing here is an indication that she likes you. I think its more that you want her to like you rather than her liking you in any sort of way.

waitresses are supposed to be friendly to you , small talk with you, make you feel special.

Establish boundaries and enforce them. No need to be a jerk about it either. Most servers need those tips. I go out a lot and on weekends go to the same places. I know a lot of the servers male and female by their first names. I once got a CC receipt that had her phone number written on it. I called her over to where I was sitting and reminded her I was in my 60s and I do not find teenagers sexually attractive! She said OK and I tossed the receipt.
