Is it too dangerous/troublesome to interact with women anymore? Especially for older men? ?

I was working out the other day and I saw a young female (20ish?) really struggling to move a piece of exercise equipment. She was very attractive and I reflexively was going to go help. I stopped myself because I was afraid she was either going to think I was hitting on her or just be offended because of some feminist bullshit thinking. I just said fuck it, it's not my problem and I'm not getting any hate for trying to be nice. Opinions?

C - don't stop interacting with women altogether but use a great deal of caution.

For example, I work in a professional setting where work often happens behind closed doors, either in offices or conferences rooms, and I NEVER allow myself to be alone in a room with a woman anymore. It's just not worth the risk.

On dates I do everything I can to spend as much of our time together in public places where we are not alone, at least on the first few dates before I get to know her well enough to trust her. It's impossible to avoid some alone time, for example while driving. But I mitigate that by always offering to drive, because but it's much harder for a woman to make a convincing argument that she was sexually assaulted by a man while he was driving.

It's not possible, reasonable or desirable to avoid women altogether, but it is very possible and wise to use common sense and minimize the opportunities for a woman to falsely accuse you of something for whatever reason. False accusations are common today, despite what the media tells us. I know far too much to allow myself to believe the common statistics on false accusation. Feminists often claim that most rapists get off the hook because most rapes go unprosecuted. What they don't tell you is that most rape claims are dropped due to lack of evidence, and in many of those cases there is a lack of evidence because there was no rape in the first place.

Guys, I'll state the obvious here by saying just don't ever rape a woman. But it's also very important to protect yourself from false accusations because they are far more common than you probably believe.

That part is up to you. You have to decide whether the risk is worth the potential reward... for you. For me, it is, as long as I make wise choices. There are no guarantees, but I am comfortable with that risk for now.

Well I thnk it sucks, unless a guy is putting his hands all over me or talking suggestively to me I only assume he's being kind, I don't know how the line got so blurred. Well actually, I think if our society accepted people being more blunt with their intentions instead endorsing childish games to get someone's attetnion some of these kinds of scenarios if someone misinterpretting intentins could be avoided.

Too dangerous/troublesome, I mean I would see it a nice gesture but I know nowadays people are very uptight about what considered friendly versus flirty which is really pretty silly in my opinion, when did we have to quit being nice decent people? I think there is an obvious difference between flirting and just being friendly or nice but I know a male co-worker of mine got talked to for patting a girl on the shoulder when she said she had a rough day, like WTF. I don't even hug people at work anymore unless they intiate it because I've been told hugs in the workplace make people uncomfortable. Really it's a hug? I hug my parents and sister.

If the girl wants help, she must ask for it. Otherwise, just get on with your work.

I'm the type that always opened doors, pulled chairs, etc for women all my life. Slowly but surely the times I've assisted and met with hostility for it has increase over the years to the point that the last 5 times I attempted to assist a woman, in any way at all, I was met with hostility.
