Why do girls ignore you instead of block or say they don't want to talk?

I frequently clear my messages en mass. How many "Hey baby!" messages am I obligated to respond to in a day? I only block the persistent or truly disgusting commenters. And even if I respond to a few messages, I don't feel any obligation to continue conversations with random people on the internet.

Obviously none of us know the conversations you had with her and cannot answer why you would be suddenly ignored. I have ignored people that suddenly turn creepy or start hitting on me (over an app, really?) after starting normal conversations. I have had "friends" in other apps, games usually, that I didn't feel the need to notify when I stopped playing said game / app. Why do you feel "girls" have an obligation to keep replying?

Nobody here knows. Maybe she wasn't comfortable with your professions of love. Maybe she met someone closer and didn't want to continue. Maybe she dropped or broke her phone. Maybe she was a dude catfishing you with pics from the internet. Point being, nobody here knows and can only give you possibilities.
