Primary school would definitely be easier than secondary, as it's a much more relaxed setting, and working with younger kids is almost more like working with animals (they're not judging you, they're not going to challenge your authority, etc).

I think you'd also get over your social anxiety pretty quickly, if you could stick it out for long enough. I always used to *hate* any kind of social situation or public speaking, but these days I'm leading and instructing groups, chatting to them, and generally making myself the centre of attention on a daily basis, as part of my job. Outside of work, I'm still very anti-social, but because I've been doing it so long, I'm perfectly comfortable doing my job, and basically developed a whole different work persona.

That being said, I have quite a few teacher friends, and it is not an easy job...

I feel like i could make a difference in the way teachers teach. I believe that i can make learning entertaining which is a huge problem also i feel like i could teach stuff that actually matters as i dont care what the state wants the teachers to teach

Yes, as long as you are good at hiding it in front of your students. I know teachers are human but let’s accept the fact that kids see them as a leader/role model.

People with social anxiety can do everything as long as they're willing to overcome it or at least try.

It would depend on if children trigger it. You might be fine with a class of kids under eight years old and have difficulty with high school students.

yep. My brother has crazy bad social anxiety, but he's been a successful teacher for several years now.

Did he have anxiety before teaching? How did he overcome it? Did he get help from the therapist? Sorry, i asked many questions, but this is a big problem for me. That’s why i ask people if they can do it or not.

yep, he had it ever since he was in high school. maybe earlier but who knows exactly. He does take some kind of medicine for it, but still, it's not easy. I think the best thing you can do is to take the step. The scariest part of social situations is actually worrying about them. Once you're in them, it's not so bad. At least after a while when you get used to it.
