Helpless girls?

Why are there so many questions on here from girls asking / complaining that a guy that they like never makes a move? It's 2022. If you want to go out with a guy you are just as capable of asking him out as he is of asking you out. In fact, I believe it's 93% of guys that would like the girl to make the first move.

For the same reason men complain about making the first move: they're afraid of rejection, the feeling not being mutual, the guy is already taken, etc...

I'm not excusing it, but it's human nature to be scared to approach someone you like because you never know how they will react or what the outcome will be. In addition, most women have been [stupidly] raised to believe the guy has to approach them first or it's a sign they're not interested in them. I'm indifferent on that, as nowadays most men are afraid to approach women for the same reasons I stated above, along with other factors.

And even those of us that do approach men first- yes, such women exist... we get rejected just as much as men do. You say men want to be approached and asked out right?
That's great in theory, but realistically we all know if a man is not attracted to said female, he is going to reject her, even if she does ask him out. Just like women do to men.

Maybe they're more traditional? They believe the guy should make the first move. But I agree with you. It's 2022, not 1950. I believe either the girl or the guy can make the first move.

If a girl is interested she doesn't hide it. Most of my past girlfriends initiated first contact and made it clear through body language as well as just being "near" me that they were interested. For example, if I would walk into a bar, she would immediately come over and ask how I am or "it's nice seeing you". They fall short of actually asking you out for a date but let you know they're interested. The real clincher is when they ask you to dance. That's basically fully clothed sex.

Most girls are not feminists, and they don't want that power to initiate things because then they would need to deal with being rejected.

I think that's a huge portion of it. They don't have a second thought about how nerve-racking it can be for the guy or how it can feel for the guy when they get rejected.

I agree, women could make the first move. But there are both women and men stuck in the tradition of the past that it's not ladylike to make the first move.
And I don't think just fear of rejection is what stops women from making the first move as much as fear of being labeled too aggressive or desperate... Because I've heard some men say they'd like if the woman made the approach, but I've also heard women be trash talked for making the first move🤷🏼‍♀️

We still prefer guys to do it. A lot of us at any rate. Not all girls want that.
