Yes legs are absolutely distracting. So is cleavage. So is a simple laugh. Shit I was always distracted by a girl who wore baggy jeans and a t-shirt.

Hell, I always got only half my homework done because I would start drawing schematics on the page instead. I had ADH-fucking-D. Me being impulsive and inconsistent was the only consistent thing about my life.

If girls dressed more conservatively, would it be less of a distraction? Certainly. In the same way you aren't distracted by most guys, but if Jason Mamoa walked in you're going to have a hard time completing the damned square.

But this narrative like "boys are distracted by it" doesn't hold, because someone else's distraction shouldn't be your problem. Jason Mamoa shouldn't have to be kicked out of math class for distracting girls by existing.

I DO think we need dress codes, and I DO think that girls actually break them way more often than men. That's because guys have shit clothing options. It is 100 different choices of the same jeans and tee. We weren't even allowed tank tops while girls were. All of the rules were more strict for guys but girls insisted on rubbing right up against the boundary and then blaming everyone else when they got in trouble. It's not guys' fault that your pants say "juicy" on the ass. You deliberately chose that. Don't play coy.


But going back the other way again, it is extremely gross when the 77-year old principal comes on the intercom and says that the 15 year old girls are dressing "too sexy". Like ffs even if you swing that way you could at least do the world a favor and say it's about professionalism and trying to focus on your mind rather than your body or something. That's just what an underage teenage girl needs, is an old man in power letting her know he's checking her out.

I have a lot of opinions but few solutions. But I think school uniforms are where it's at. Just take the issue right off the table.

To some people, yes, they are a big distraction.
To young hormonal boys, yes, they find anything remotely revealing, sexy and distracting.


Ill try to explain it the best I can;
You have to remember that boys are more visual. They typically get turned on by looking at things that are sexually appealing to them. In this case, a girl’s legs, thighs, chest, shoulders (bra straps), etc.. Boys are just wired this way, and again, sexually appealing things can be distracting, especially for young hormonal boys.

This is the Dilemma, girls wear short skirts to be seen as sexy, which is also distracting for many gentlemen. Women go crazy at men's strip shows as far as even giving the men blow jobs. So don't say women don't get distracted also. But men don't go walking down the street with no shirt and having their muscles bulging. So why do women go braless and with short skirts and then complain when men look? I am quite happy not having men check me out sexually but instead checking out my brain. Hmmmm, on 2nd thought. . .
