Why would she leave the room when I arrive?

There is a girl that I’ve been mutually staring with for the past few months. Some times it’s long stares, sometimes I catch her staring. I’ve complimented her before as well (not saying the staring means anything, but just context on how we’re a little familiar with each other).

Recently, I walked into a room and she was taking to a friend of hers (guy), I need to ask her friend a question related to something else. When I asked him the question, I looked at her and she was staring at me. I then looked back at him, kept talking, the she tells him “I’ll see you in a little bit” and walked away randomly. I’m sure if it wasn’t me she wouldn’t have walked away.

Do you think she might be uncomfortable around me cause I’ve complemented her before and all the staring?
