Yes but I’d probably throw myself more into my passions and try to make something lucrative out of it as a backup or cushion. Focus on writing or photography. Or get a degree in a field where it’s extremely difficult to get into like archaeology (in the US) and just pursue it as an independent scientist or something.
I can’t just sit still.

Yes and no.
i like working, the part I don’t like is having to deal with people I don’t like on a daily basis. Toxic people etc. it’s hard to avoid this as only a certain amount of people and certain skills have the luxury of being able to undertake adaptable work where they can be around people or not around anyone at all.
so if I could work around only people I wanted to then yes I’d want to work. But given that my work is office based and i hate the drama of nasty people. I’d say if I didn’t have to work then no I wouldn’t.

I understand. I retired last year because I can afford to and my working situation got unbearable. While I can afford to stay retired I hate feeling idle. So while I plan on going back to work. I'll do so when I find the right situation.

Not after having children. I would love to look after them all day every day and watch them grow if I wouldn't have to work.
