I would continue to so SOMETHING, but most likely, not "compensated employment" or a "job for pay". I volunteer in several ways in our neighborhood already. I would continue to do that and probably a few more. Since my monetary future would be ensured by investing the bulk of the money in interest-bearing investments, I would be free to pursue even MORE interests, with MORE time left to do them. I definitely would buy land with homes in another state and set-up my two daughters and their families for life, as well. Probably invest in a few start-up small, local businesses who could use the help and my experience as an MBA as well. I'd stay busy, but able to do what I WANTED to do rather than what I HAD to do to keep bread on the table.

It's not close to possible to fit $15 billion into a suit case. In $100 bills, you can fit about $2 million in a cubic foot. $15 billion in cash would completely fill a room 10' x 25' x 30'. Even $15 million would require a large suitcase.

I would almost certainly stop working if I had another $2 million. Maybe if I just had another $1 million. I could stop now but I want to spend more in retirement than I could on what I have now.

even if i had £15 billion which would set me and all my loved ones FOR LIFE, i would still get bored and work part time or find other ways to waste time

I could retire now but i was not ready to. A famous guy said that after retirement there is only one more major life event to look forward to. Besides, we are in double digit inflation and the economy is tanking. I figured I would work a few more years. I found a new job that is a good job that pays well and is a short commute.
