I’m getting paranoid?

So this girl I’m seeing had our first date and we text a lot so she texts me really early in the morning which is fine but after that time I haven’t got any response back from her. I was going to surprise her by having lunch at her job.. I figured maybe she was not in today but I see her car.

I wonder if I’m overthinking? I don’t want to sound annoying but just want to make sure everything is ok.

She finally got back to me turns out her family was annoying her and her pay didn’t come in.

Annnd she texted back later on saying that she just got out of a serious relationship and she’s taking a break from dating for a indefinite amount of time.. she’s like sorry I didn’t tell you sooner but she didn’t feel a romantic connection.

However before all of this she was talking about the second date and how we had so much more to talk about and when I sent flowers to her for her birthday day she was telling her friend about it and she was like it did put a smile on my face.. Even Wednesday I asked her about taking her for dinner I asked her if she had any food allergies she seemed ok with it.

I wonder if the whole I got out of a relationship thing is true or not. It’s going to be awkward because we are going to see each other daily.

She ended up texting this morning about the response I sent her back and she told me her sister told her I said hi but she said she wouldn’t want anything awkward between us. She made sure to say I still see you as a really good friend

Yeah not even sure why she would even bring up her sister.. Because say me and the sister did hook up and I saw the older sister it would be super awkward I would think.

I found out why she said that and it’s kinda something I did.. I’m not sure I can fix it other than clarifying why I went about the way I did it.. so it was me kinda going on a date with her before my divorce was finalized plus two kids. 😞

Well as soon as I walked in and saw her her face lit up.. so I knew all was not bad.. however I hit the same roadblock she got out of a serious relationship of 3 years in Nov and she wants a little time to herself I told her I still care for her and I asked her about the issue and apparently she knew nothing about that.

I told her I know her family’s restaurant has been slow since COVID and her pay got messed up at her other job.. I ordered $37 of food and I gave her a $100 tip.. her first words where wtf! She’s like I feel like I’m stealing from you.. so she’s like I took $5 out of the $100 so she came back with the change and I pushed it back to her.

I told her I don’t mind helping her out even if we didn’t become something I still support her I told her I’d be back at some point in time lol
