Yes and no. Those are all correct but there is a deeper reason behind it. This subject has been philosophized about to no end. The ultimate reason that some girls like bad boys is that birds of a feather flock together. Someone who has a wicked heart will certainly view other who do evil as powerful. They will view someone who takes what he wants and acquired much without regard to if he attained properly as high in status. They will see someone who is willing to obtain by any means necessary as capable of providing. These types of girls have a more Machiavellian mind set. The end justifies the means. So they care not what methods one uses to provide security, to be powerful, to gain status and those other things you mentions.


Other reasons are some girls like a challenge. Think how easy it is for most girls to either get laid or get a boyfriend. Why, all they have to do is be of average looks or better and 85% or more if guys will take them for that. That’s boring to them. They want a guy they have to somehow win over with more than just average looks. They may derive a sense of worth from this. Some girls want the drama that comes with a bad boy because it’s exciting to them. So many emotions flooding them from such a situation. Those types don’t just want to watch soap operas, they want to live them.


Others have this fantasy of taking a complete piece of human garbage and turning him into a decent human being. This seldom works.


Others inwardly want to rebel but don’t have the guts to be bad girls so they live vicariously through the bad boy they’re with.


Insecurity is mentioned. Let’s face it. Someone who is for example a bully appears strong and is able to make girls who are insecure feel safe because those types tend to tread down everyone in their path, so they see that as him being able to provide security.


Security is a strong desire for women and a major factor in mate selection.


While all women have much in common they’re all individuals and there is no one size fits all answer. In my view when you strip this issue down to brass tacks the ultimate reason a girl desires to be with a bad boy is the first thing I stated. They are morally debased on one or more levels and approve of those who are like themselves. This explains why all girls don’t like bad boys.


It would be largely true to say girls are attracted to industrious men who can provide security for them and their offspring, who exhibit characteristics of strength, who are competent and confident, who know how to carry themselves. What that looks like depends on the person. Some girls view bad boys as weak, as I do, because they lack the ability to be upright morally. This to me is the ultimate weakness. Others view them as strong. Much of this is based on the internal moral codes of the individual female.
