Why will she only start conversation with me when i'm alone?

This girl I like, seems to only initiate conversation with me when I'm alone. When she does engage in conversation with me she is invested in conversation. But if I'm not alone she doesn't say much to me.

I just got sad, cause we were talking and then her co-worker interrupted and next thing the co-worker joined the conversation and the girl I like started doing her own thing
