GIRL CANCELS DATE BUT OFFERS FACETIME - WTF?

I was supposed to meet a girl today for a 5th date. We were supposed to meet at 1pm and she cancelled at 10am saying she isn’t feeling well and hasn’t been able to get out of bed last 3 days. Then I respond saying “no problem, feel better”. And then she responds saying if we can FaceTime today.

WTF - if she was so sick she hasn’t been able to get out of bed, why would she want to FaceTime? Surely if she can get up, do her makeup etc for a FaceTime call she can meet up?

I actually don’t want to FaceTime her. I planned a nice day and I’m not in the mood for FaceTime. Any suggestions how I can politely tell her no to FaceTime?

Who says anything about doing makeup for you? lol Maybe she's comfortable enough not to now? But I think she's suggesting this so you know she's really sick and doesn't want you to think she's just brushing you off or going to ghost you (ie not just an excuse to cancel the date). And/or a virtual date so to speak and won't risk getting you sick also. But I feel you, I hate doing it also. I'd just say that you don't really enjoy doing that, and you'd rather wait until she's better and to see her in person. She'll probably be fine with that. That's what I've done before. And I'll use my internet usage as an excuse also as I have limited usage and it uses a lot of it, so I have that in my favor lol. Or, just make it a brief one.

Yeah you could be right. She did offer to reschedule our date. I just don’t want to FaceTime her today I hate FaceTime. I’ll just tell her I’m busy and can’t FaceTime

I'd give her maybe a 2 hour window for a face time, if she makes the effort to do so then not so bad. But good chance she woukd flake by the sounds. I Def wouldn't go out of your way to change your day for her

Just tell her the truth that it makes you feel insecure that your face looks fat on cam is that the problem

I honestly cannot be bothered for a 1-2 hour FaceTime with her. I prefer in person. Problem is we’ve done FaceTime before weeks ago so she knows I have it!
