Girls, do you have to sit a certain way to pee?

I was talking to a friend of mine who has a little daughter and they were talking about how they had to teach her to sit right on the toilet so the pee doesn't splash out.

I've never heard of such a thing for girls, so I'm wondering if all girls don't just sit on the toilet to pee, or if there's a special way you have to sit.

Well, you want to sit upright at least or lean forward slightly so your pee doesn’t end up going too far forwards. Alas the only way we can remotely aim is by adjusting our seating position. Even then it’s a bit random tbh.
