Can you be confident while believing you are ugly?

Whenever someone calls themselves ugly everyone says no you're not you are beautiful (even if they really aren't) jus because they think believing they are ugly will give them low self esteem.
.
But isn't it possible to believe and know you are ugly, and accept it.. and still be confident?
Because I know for a fact I am ugly and anyone who says otherwise is lying, it is what it is... I'm not going to lie to myself and say I'm handsome when I'm not. I'm just ugly and always will be... Is it possible for people like me to still be confident regardless?

I think so. For example, I know for certain that I'm not a good singer. But I can sing Whitney Houston in front of 200 strangers. It's because I enjoy being booed; I'm not afraid of it. It's very rare that I get booed though. People love my horrible butchery of Whitney Houston, and I even got some dates after I sang on stage at Karaoke bars, including some girls who approached me and said I'm the most fearless guy they've ever seen (ego boost!).

Yeah true, good perspective.. I don't really care that I'm ugly I still get out and live life... But I do need to be more social tho cos I shy away from people a little lol,
Anyway it's good to know it's possible ☺️

Confidence from my standpoint is to avoid the fear of failure; it's not to think you will definitely succeed. It's to be able to overcome the fear of failing and avoid thinking it's a big deal. You overcome the fear of being rejected by girls, for example, and you will be a most powerful man.

Cheers! The way I saw it starting out is that if I can get a girl to reject me with a smile and laugh, that's a success. And I got rejected a lot with smiles and laughs. But with practice I got rejected less and less.
