If someone loves someone, why would someone's height even matter? Like it's so stupid and illogical when many women say we want someone who can protect us. Like what kind of stone age you're living in? Like, you call yourself independent then from whom do you need protection? Women from the childhood are told from their patriarchal families and friends to never like a short man. Why do we draw these lines? Same for a man not liking a taller woman. It's just something you cannot change about yourself.

Does being tall equate to being manly? No matter why then women have to do all the household chores for these taller men because that's what makes them a woman. Shouldn't people stop being in the traditional roles and develop as we're progressing in the society?

If the girls that you like aren't looking like guys, chances are they're not attracted to guys that look like girls.
Normally girls don't grow as tall, and so being shorter is one way to seem more feminine.
At least do a good job being masculine in some other ways like muscles and career and that will improve your attractiveness.

Crushing or falling in love is more or less subconscious and our subconscious doesn't go around with a measuring tape.
Someone who has "at least 6 foot tall" as a requirement could very well crush on someone who is 5.85 feet tall.

Do I find it attractive/sexy when men are physically taller/stronger than me? I absolutely do. However, that doesn't mean I think it's attractive when men try to act like I'm their property or don't have rights or have to "obey" their every decision.
The two are not the same.

I'm not saying that. My point here is that it is a cultural norm that man should be taller and stronger which comes from patriarchy. Like why should it be wrong if the women is tall and strong? Love is love. Even though I'm mostly taller (5'7) than an average women and I have a good build as well, I don't really care if a woman is muscular or taller than. Guess what? Height of some person can't be changed.

Women from the childhood have been told to get strongest and the tallest man in the competition. It also gives validation from other women who can't have that tall man. The culture in itself is totally based on validation from the society.

Though I don't force someone to change their mind. I just stated my opinion which seems reasonably logical to me.

I was really trying to answer your question the best way I could explain it. I made a mistake, because I didn't recognize that this wasn't a question, this was a rant.

My boyfriend is short, and I love him dearly. He has more confidence and charisma than any guy I've ever met. He's never once whined about his height or even mentioned it. He's just a great man, and I'm lucky to have him. Good luck with your rant, but I'm done with you.

Also, I love how society tries to pull short men down by saying how whiny they are when they're just trying to tell about the problem and question the society.

I think it's just an evolutionary thing, taller men make me feel more feminine and I'm sure shorter women make some guys feel more masculine. It's not something that you usually decide, it's just the way you feel. Hope this helps and makes sense.

It's a sign of patriarchy though. How does being taller relate to be masculine? Like who decided that? It's just a cultural norm and not actually biological thing. I have discussed with many biologists and they said it's more of a cultural thing. People are so stuck up on cultural norms. It's been ingrained from the childhood. I know people can't be changed but at least a change in society is important so that we could figure out better stuff than being stuck on something like this on which people have no control over.

I get what you mean, I prefer taller guys but it doesn't mean I'd reject someone due to their height. Personally I feel more protected when the guy is taller than me which in turn makes me feel more feminine, if the guy was shorter than me I would feel like I would have to keep him safe, like a child I guess.

That's the problem. Like in 21st century we have already progressed a lot. There's law and order. We don't need protection anymore. Women have equal rights as well and they can protect themselves. Next thing you said is that if the guy is shorter you would seem him like a child, but I can also say if the guy is tall, he can see you like a daughter? That goes both ways. Anyways, who am I to tell you this. I just wanted to share my thoughts about what I find logical.
