Dating in your age group (16-30) is indeed pointless because those dating attempts are actually nothing more that pick-up attempts for the sole purpose of fornicating and copulating but certainly not for the purpose to have an in-depth relation that would last a life-long.

You simply don't go on dating sites if you are serious about a relation. Everyone knows that those dating sites are solely platform to get laid and nothing more.

Therefore, if your aim is to date through a dating site, we also know what your intentions are.

Get out and meet people in flesh and blood and not those in binary codes made of 1s and 0s.

Do you know how many ugly, married guys there are out there? A lot. You just need a good personality. It sucks that we live in a world where getting unlucky in the looks department makes dating harder, but it's by no means impossible. On the bright side, if you really are ugly and not just insecure, then when you do find a woman, you'll know she's not just there for your looks, that she won't fall out of love or lose attraction for you as grow older, or if you ever get into a disfiguring accident. You may find a truer, more all encompassing love once you do find it.

Online dating on a photo-driven site like Tinder is obviously going to favor the most photogenic people. If you are focusing on the most attractive 10% of women on the site, and you are not equally attractive, you won't have much success. Look a bit deeper -- there are often plenty of women who are not the most attractive but are attractive enough. They would love some attention.

Dating is dating & as for me I prefer offline dating & in the past I have tried online dating & what you see & what you read isn’t always what you get so beware.

No it´s not but sometimes people just use the wrong tactics in the wrong field. Like a diving suit won´t help preparing for a ice hockey match it´s similar with dating because I felt the same when starting to date.
Dating needs discipline and preparation because not everybody finds true love at first hand.
There are people that make dating look but it´s not.
But that doesn´t mean that it´s not worth it alltogether.

I wouldn't say it's pointless. I'd say setting goals to that end is pointless.
I just go out and have fun. If I get approached by a woman and something comes of it, cool. If nothing comes of it, or she flakes halfway, cool. I expect women to to flake 🤣. My best advice to you is relax, go out and have fun, and try to treat every woman with a grain of salt. Trust me man you'll be happier.
