Girls think that I’m a player?

Hi everyone, I want to ask, when I was at high school, I had a big problems with approaching and making any contacts with women.
After graduating, I changed that rapidly, becoming more interested in how women think, how to flirt with them, etc.
at the moment I have no problem with contacting / approaching them and going on a dates, but I still hear the same thing - they tell me, that they like me, but can’t trust me, because I understand them too much and they think that I'm a player and just want to sleep with them.
And thats how it usually ends.
But the only thing I'm looking for is a long-term relationship. I absolutely do not understand how to behave in this situation. Thank you in advance for your time and opinions.

Let's be honest here. Girls talk about guys a lot! Since girls think you are a player, maybe you are. Obviously you earned that reputation from doing something. Once you have a reputation as a player, it will never go away, unless you move away, and cut back on connecting with so many babes on your social media.
You must have some pretty good pick up lines for one thing. Your body language tells your story too.
I know that when a guy would say "Trust me" I would never trust him. He's the kind of guy that will break a girl down and earn her trust by saying that unless she knows when a guy says to trust him, don't do it! It's a set up to get a piece of ass.

Is there anything else making you look like a player though? Sometimes if they get your social media and you are following more girls than guys that tends to be a red flag. But I agree with the other lady on here tone it down a bit

Well, I got, let’s say, more followers than it’s usual, but not that much…it’s probably cause of my work.
But I’m not following many girls, just my collegues / friends that I know from high school and college.

Let them talk more, and don't let them know how much you understand right off the bat. Tone down the understanding. Girls can get uncomfortable if they feel a guys trying too hard to understand them. They lose their aire of mystery and it feels like there are ulterior motives.
