I would suggest having a brief conversation and asking if she wants to have coffee or tea with you. If so while having a more lengthy conversation over something to drink, ask her for a date. If she accepts be a perfect gentleman on the first date so that she knows she can trust you. On the second date you can tell her and play it by ear as to what she up to doing but be quick to back off if she shows any reluctance.
