Can women be truly independent from men, if they depend on men to approach them?

Technically a relationship doesn't happen unless men approach you and ask you out. Same goes for sex too

By that thought process, the answer is no because women don't have to wait on men to approach them - we just (sometimes) choose to.

It's takes skill to approach a stranger, and I would say by in large women struggle to do that more than men.

Like I said, whether or not they do it is not relevant. Whether or not they CAN is the issue, and that would be a lot closer to 100%.
