Why does my cousin demand my time?

Narcissistic behaviour. Just take longer and longer to reply, eventually she will slow down her tempo to match your speed.

I had one guy who would message me so much too much, i did just thst slowed down with my replies and at some point i, when he kept messaging i just put on do not disturb status then later replied or next day, it works. Some people are so lonely they csnt control themselves so i have to put boundaries
