When a guy calls a girl innocent it has nothing to do with her level of physically attractiveness, nor would a guy say it just because he does not like her. Some guys like the innocent looking girls, like the girl next door look, or the school girl look... they look innocent but that does not mean they are innocent.

Now if a guy is saying you are innocent and not in the context of looks, but more in regards to your demeanor or personality... then it means he thinks your not damaged goods, jaded or possibly not naïve about the dating world in general... or that are your lack of experience means you don't really know any better so you can be blamed, which again some guys find attractive as in very attractive.

So its not necessarily a meant to be derogatory but its not necessarily a compliant either... most women from my experience do not like being called innocent, because it kind of means that you don't know any better or you are naïve. But lots of guys haven't figure that out yet and they think its a compliant because they find it attractive, but at the same time they have not really thought much about why that is or what it conveys to the women.

I don't think innocence is attractive at all, in my experience looks can be deceiving. I had dated a couple of girls that look hella innocent and act innocent at first but after a while their behaviour changes 180°.
I personally don't give a damn about how supposedly physically attractive a girl is.
To me if there is no emotional bond, everyone are the same like any other, a stranger which I don't care about.
