Why do most of the women never want to make the first move?

I've seen many girls and women asking questions on G@G asking why their guy hasn't called her yet.
Or "Why is this guy ignoring me or not texting me?" Or many other similar stuff.
Why can't women make the first move and try talking to the guy if they're really interested.

Totally valid! I never liked the idea it has to be a guy asking the girl out. If you like someone go ask! Rejection sucks for everyone but why wait if you can have a chance of being happy now?

We’re socialized to be passive. And some of us (namely me) prefer it that way. That being said if I really like a guy and he seems super shy I’ll make the first move.
