Girl i work with and me talk a lot and always have fun. I haven't seen her in a while.. i come back saw her but didn't get to talk to her all day. Got to talk at end of day. She was talking w a coworker and when coworker was leaving, i said bye to him and i saw her out of corner of my eye looking straight at me waiting to talk to me.

Does not matter. She is a coworker and thus you should consider her off limits.

Golden rule of any man who wants to keep his job: Never, ever, ever, ever date women you work with. It can only lead to disaster.

I understand that it can be tempting but keep in mind she - like you - is there because she is getting paid. She may flirt with you now but maybe 6 months from now she is calling HR on you because you made her feel "uncomfortable" .

I have been with the same company for some years now and over the years I have had female coworkers flirt with me (some very aggressively) and several people try to set me up with single female colleagues. I always, always , always say no. Don't get me wrong, some of these women are very attractive and they are nice people but I am aware of how volatile women are and how dating can lead to strong emotions such as envy and heart break. Do you want to have to deal with that on the job? Do you need the rumors and distraction while you are getting paid? ( which by the way is it work or a pick up scene?). Do you want to have to deal with some angry ex-girlfriend who is also your coworker and who may try to sabotage you just to get rid of you? If you fall in love with this women and she breaks your heart are you prepared to see her flirt with other coworkers? (in which case you can't do anything about it because you are at work)

Are you ready to deal with a potential sexual harassment complaint? Women are volatile - today they love you next week they want to kill you.

If you want to date do it with women that you do not work with. This alone will save you heaps of stress at work.

The best way is to ask her if she likes you or not and that way, you don't have to do any guessing.

However, I would refrain from starting anything with a co-worker as one should never attempt to get intimate with them. The reason is that this liaison will not remain secret for a long time and that it will definitely create issues at work. It might create jealousy or even preferred treatment, depending on the status of that co-worker (or yourself).

One can never remain impartial and by giving or taking favors, you will create a bad working environment climate that could lead to mobbing or otherwise negatively impact the work and work place.

Keep your fingers off a work colleague and just stay friends.
