How to be more assertive when I’m naturally submissive?

Mentally, I’m there but physically I’m just not bold enough. I don’t say what I mean and I’m too agreeable. I’m literally a yes person 😭

I am the same but with me it's social anxiety always had it sooo bad so i generally can't say no it's like the only word i can say is yes! So awkwards sometimes but guess it's how you are naturally!

I don't think i could change it if i tried is like something built in! aha

Try it in small ways.

do things where you say order something at a restaurant, then change you mind and change order, do it quickly though.

put yourself into positions to have to make decisions.

Also things like joint local drama group or similar helps.

Also you will have some inner aggression, just let it loose a little more.

it’s about taking small steps to build public confidence, the ability to say no to people, to stand by a decision.

Good question. Did you grow up in a home shapers it wasn’t safe to express your feelings? You might try counseling to help you learn to feel safe being more assertive.
